A foul and sinister wind blows through our alleys and walkways ... though still in it's infancy, the unseen stench, a specter from ancient times, is biting to the nostrils of our soul and heavy on the beating of our heart.
Like the trade winds and the ocean tides, above and below our individual hardscape, the currents of corporate experience and personal opinion ebb and flow around us all. This wind is being seen from three perspectives.
The first perspective or view is the understandable yet irrational euphoria related to the election of America's first president of color.
The second relates to a genuine fear and foreboding which has descended upon nearly half of our adult neighbors ... this dread has nothing to do with skin color (though most of the other half accuses the other of just such an evil).
The third (my personal perspective), involves about a quarter of our population, authentic Christians who are eschatologically informed (see here for definition) ... sensitive to the signs of the times. [see here also]
If the election of Barrack Hussein Obama is being globally credited as proof of an evil country overcoming its racism, why the overdose on Obama's black roots? And why do we hear so quickly from so many blacks that this proves nothing and doesn't settle any supposed debt?In a 2004 questionnaire, [Obama] told the NAACP, “I fear that reparations would be an excuse for some to say, ‘We’ve paid our debt,’ and to avoid the much harder work.” [African American History Channel]In other words, we are being told that the debt will continue to be owed as long as a black fiddler can continue to play the tune.
The euphoria we are witnessing is irrational in that it is not related to issues or context; it is however deeply rooted in emotion, resentment, and duplicity.
This non-specific joy will fade with the advent of reality, but will morph into hate and animas ... whites, especially conservative whites, will become the target of a confused and frustrated black rage.
My head involuntarily recoils at the smell of what is to come, when "African-Americans" finally realize in their desperate search for an enemy that the enemy is them.
But of more immediate and national importance is the burden many of us feel when we realize those radical SOBs from the 60s are now running the country, having finally gathered together the most gullible and easily manipulated majority of voters in history.
A generation of middle aged anarchistic, iconoclastic, anti-establishmentarianists has technologically knit together a non-violent revolutionary army of mush-brained young adults, godless self-absorbed urbanites, entitlement dependent minorities, and gimme ignoramuses to pull off a bloodless coup in the greatest nation on earth and in history.
But I don't despair, for I know in whom I believe and trust. He is faithful to be with me even to the end of time, and has never made a promise He has not or will not keep.
A South African friend delivered a radio message this week in which he tells the story of president-elect Obama's visit to his country two years ago as "Just Another Senator" from America.
He goes on to remind us all that officials of the government refused to meet with him and pawned him off to a low level bureaucrat. They now regret their short-sighted offense since they were told of Obama's aspirations. But it is now too late.
My friend then reminds us of another leader who is coming, who we have been warned is coming, and who, if we snub Him, will ensure our regret for all eternity. That Leader is the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Son of God.
Come Lord Jesus.

OBAMA: Is our election of a president a popularity contest or prophetic precursor?
The world is being set up; set up to one day receive the biblical "man of lawlessness." In August I posted ...The CRIB is NOT saying anything about Obama being the Antichrist, far too many things must come first ... the Temple, the priesthood, the ten nation confederacy, and the return of the Jewish diaspora ... only be aware, be on the alert ... for the days are short.In that post I quoted 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5, where Scripture warns us of a day when he will be made known ... it's a certainty. The CRIB simply wants to warn its readers to be on the alert ... these are prophetic times.
Some generation will be alive when he is revealed; our generation is being used to set the stage for that revelation. The global community (this generation), because of its godlessness and weariness, is being hypnotized into acting as a precursor for his actual coming.
Three unrelated yet relevant news articles caught my attention ... and they should catch yours."I want you to believe," said the candidate, clad in an open-necked shirt and barn jacket. While the sample is not scientific – only those with access to the weekly and the internet could participate – one thing is clear.Almost sounds biblical, doesn't it? That's what I thought. We are being used by God to set the stage ... I'm certain of it!
Never has anyone in superpower America ascended to power with as much global support as BO is likely to. The disappointment of the sobered at home and abroad will match the present enthusiasm fueled by illusions. [Brussels Journal]Friday's NBC Nightly News devoted a story to how around the world “people want to turn a page on the Bush years” and, as if it's relevant, “if the world had a vote, Barack Obama would win in a landslide.” A suggestion to viewers on what they must do to restore America's honor?I too want to turn a page on the Bush years, but I don't want the world to have anything to do with selecting our president. In fact, I only cede that to God.
Reporter Dawna Friesen warned that the next President “faces a grim reality: Much of the world deeply distrusts, even dislikes, the United States” and she rued “much of the sympathy and solidarity that existed after 9/11 evaporated during the Bush years.” [News Busters]Here in Turkey, as in much of the world, people want to turn a page on the Bush years. In fact, polls show the image of the U.S. has improved slightly this year simply because President Bush is leaving. And, that if the world had a vote, Barack Obama would win in a landslide. GEORGIA: Our allies are watching!
The largest television audience ever may be focused on the 2008 Beijing Olympics at this time but the most important audience is focused on the West's response [HT: NER] to Russia's outrageous and taunting invasion of a sovereign neighbor.
Russia's intent is clear in the eyes of the world -- they want and are in the process of deposing a duly and democratically elected government ... all for military and idealogical reasons. [See here as well.]
Russia knows she will suffer no long term consequences from a world which tolerates totalitarianism, coddles petty fascists, and nods approvingly at inhumane behavior.
This reality, in light of the West's shallow response to the very real threat of soft-jihad [see here also] and America's involvements in Iraq and Afghanistan, gave Russia the stage it needed to do its dirty deed.
Much of the West's future will depend on what it does corporately from this point on. My personal concern (vis a vis my kids and their kids) is that there is no corporate West to respond at this time.

A British Lord takes issue with the Church of England's main man, who happens to be Anglicanism's main man as well. He says,

I am, however, a 'fellow traveller' and it is fellow travellers, whether of political parties or churches, whose opinions should be listened to most carefully by the powers that be. If the politicians or bishops offer confident, reasonable leadership, we follow them. If they look lost, confused and out of touch, we leave in droves.There is, of course, nothing new about homosexuality or homosexual priests and I suspect that most people these days will say 'so what?'I'll not waste your time with theological nit-picking here, but our "fellow traveler" does go on to make several excellent points.
But the Church of England still has a role to play in upholding the standards and beliefs which have shaped the society in which we live. And for the leader of that institution to appear confused by his moral standpoint is surely disastrous.I fear that the leaking of Dr Williams' letters [revealing a bifurcated theology on the issue], even if they are from eight years ago, will give more comfort to those who see the church as a leftover from the past than to those who would like to see it stand up boldly for the values on which it was built. For a while, the traditionalists will rally ... but the fellow travellers will drift away leaderless, with neither a church nor a political party prepared to champion their views and beliefs.And we see it in the visible church everywhere; the Emergents and the Seekers being two not so wonderful examples.So who is left? I'm watching NBC's local Sunday Morning news program and I'm shocked by twenty minutes of national and international news without a mention of the war in eastern Europe (the Caucasus aka Georgia). [UPDATE: 40 MINUTES IN - it's mentioned]
We are on our way to church in a few minutes and don't have time to view other news; but if the world doesn't get it, at least a few people are laboring online to document the Russian aggression ...Thus we see the war in the Caucasus evolve into a litmus test for the basic institutions of the West itself. If those institutions fail, especially in the eyes of its most vulnerable members, then the suffering in Georgia will, in the long run, be mere prelude. [The Brussels Journal]I rarely use the old saw "I told you so" but this morning I am saying, "I'm telling you so!"

Barak Obama is a globalist of the first order ... his speech title ("A World that Stands as One") and much of his content tells us all we need to know. The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. But after this speech, I think Obama's unseated Former President Bill Clinton for the title of "President Of The World" and he hasn't even been elected yet.Obviously Obama's election is a forgone conclusion in Zennie's mind.

ONE WORLD: A religion for all - the complicity of world leaders!

The Muslim World League also happens to be the principal agent for the propagation of Wahhabi Islam in Europe. In 1987, it was elected as a “Messenger of World Peace” by the United Nations.The WCD is a self-absorbed orgy of self-important global personalities and philosophies, so clueless, so misguided, and so ignorant of eternal truths they're capable of doing lasting damage to this world, unknowingly introducing the system necessary for a global government, and setting the stage for a faux-messiah to reveal himself.
I'm uncertain if Kern is aware of the implications of his terminology and phrasing but if so, it is a masterful turn on globalism and its prophetic implications.
No matter what we do, the "one world" prophecies of the bible will take place ... God has ordained it and that's all that can be said about them.
Some generation of humanity will be alive when sin's gestation is complete and the Great Tribulation is birthed. Sadly, some apostate incarnation of "the church" will exist as well.
As I read Kern's piece I was reminded of Paul's warning "when we hear peace and safety," run like hell! Over and over the author highlights topics, papers, and quotes using the term "peace" at the conference.Also attending are leading personalities specialized in dialogue and useful topics such as “life of human societies, international cooperation, human rights, security and peace and living peacefully together.”It is a truth that the principals behind globalism know little or care little about the orthodoxy of ANY of the religions of the world.The aim of the event is to promote dialogue between the world’s main religions, and, as some observers suspect, to establish a one-world religion based on Islam.They are, for the most part, virtual atheists, mouthing spiritual platitudes to attain and retain the ears and wealth of the "unwashed" masses. Their psuedo-altruism is actually a satanic dance, choreographed to an inaudible tune, shepherding the lost to a disbelieved but guaranteed Armaggedon.The conference, which seeks to promote openness, consists of five closed-door round tables. CUD CHEWING: It seems to me ...
... that it is increasingly difficult for me to separate the secular from the spiritual.
You see, the world is rapidly headed in a direction disastrous for the visible church and "professing" christians (no cap on purpose) but entirely consistent with the prophetic word of God.
For example ...A Moroccan woman was denied citizenship in France because her head-to-toe Islamic veil, which shows only her eyes, was "incompatible" with French gender equality, Reuters reported.Yet this is important: democratic nations must grasp erosion of any nation's sovereignty, no matter the dynamic, is a stone removed from the sovereign foundation of all nations ... accelerating the end to come.On the face of it (ha ha), it's just another story of a nation exerting its sovereign influence over those non-citizens desiring to live in that nation.
For those of us living within democratic, representative borders, we hold dear our hard won freedoms; for us, the specter of globalization engenders fears of losing those freedoms.
You see, no matter what the coming one world government looks like in its initial manifestation, the Bible tells us it will morph into a cruel taskmaster.
So, for me, the story above holds serious secular and spiritual implications; the former for my children and my children's children, the latter those who must must endure the Great Tribulation.
As I read the news each day, I am confronted with reports that tweak my freeborn instincts. On the one hand, concerning the world my family must live in for now; on the other hand, concerning the world to come and its apron of entry.
I just wish I could do a better job of commenting on the news stories, and how they bear on the Good News and His-story.

From time to time we're reminded of how easy it will be for the Antichrist to rise up before the eyes of an ignorant and self-absorbed world. This quote by a European caught my eye as typical ...Torsten Stein, a European legal expert at Saarland University, warns that one day EU citizens will become aware "that, long after the end of absolute rulers, a new authority has established itself that once again claims the authority to decide what is good and what is bad for subjects." Undeterred by such doubts, officials in Brussels continue to perfect a system of total control.It's prophecy folks, we can't stop the providential but isn't it a little embarrassing that it might happen on our watch?

PROPHETIC VOICE: Nothing can be done to establish peace in the Middle East!
At this time we are witnessing the skittering of man over a sin-darkened world with amazing design and predictability. You see we are following the plan of God for His End Times, brought about by our abject iniquity (especially those of us claiming some affiliation with Him, in whatever form).Most of that skittering is taking place on the very same soil all Old Testament skittering took place. From my observations I conclude the Middle East (and the world) will continue to spiral into irretrievable peril ... Annapolis notwithstanding.
Clearly, man can do nothing to prevent the providential will of God from its appointed terminus ad quem (the end toward which it is ultimately directed) ... apart from general national repentance (on a scale similar to Jonah's Nineveh) and a global return to God by mankind.
The latter truths come from a fair understanding of the sovereignty of God and His permissive will concerning man's nature and sin (what some call free will).
But that ain't gonna happen, is it? Preoccupation with nationalistic self-interests and temporal affairs blinds my brethren to the prophetic outworking of God's plan ... this privation of discernment virtually guarantees anything but repentance taking place in our lifetimes, let alone the return of man to God.
Again, given this blindness, I conclude any and all human effort toward peace is an intellectual chimera. God's prophetic timepiece is racing, geometrically, towards that day so clearly predicted by our Lord.
