HATE CRIMES: Now this IS a hate crime!

I'm no amigo of hate crimes legislation but this is indeed a hate crime ... I hope these sickos are given life for this!

However, tell me what the difference is between this outrageous perversion and this one? At least this victim could walk away.

Tell me why the Feds are called in here and not there? Our system is so messed up these days!

PRISONS: A Pink Jump Suit and a White Carnation!

Think maybe Marty Robbins' popular song might be rewritten to keep up with our culture?

South Carolina's prisons director on Tuesday defended a policy of punishing inmates who perform sex acts by dressing them in pink, despite a lawsuit claiming the rule subjects prisoners to ridicule. [FOX News.Com]

"We don't believe the United States Constitution protects an inmate's right to publicly gratify himself," Ozmint said. "We're hopeful federal courts won't look into our Constitution and create such a right."

The US Constitution doesn't protect a non-inmate's "right to publicly gratify himself"; why should it protect yours.

But, dear Jon, don't count on the courts not creating such a thing ... they have a long history of doing just that (EOC, KELO, abortion rights, gay marriage, forced education, Children's Gestapo Protective Services).

Inmate Sherone Nealous, 31, filed the lawsuit in June 2006, claiming the Corrections Department "is placing inmates' lives and physical well-being in danger."

No, Sherone, you've put yourself and others in danger ... first by your commission of crimes against society and second through your perversions.

"The color pink in an all-male environment no doubt causes derision and verbal and physical attacks on a person's manhood," wrote Nealous, who has been serving time on various assault and battery charges since 1999. "Placing inmates in pink jumpsuits leaves them open to threats of sexual assault, intimidation, extortion and ridicule." [Charleston Net News]

Duh ... how about masturbating in public causing the same? Or how about your "verbal and physical" attacks on the female SCDC staff? You ding-a-ling!

The policy allows prison officials to discipline inmates found performing sex acts in front of corrections officers by making them trade their customary tan jumpsuit in for a pink one, which must then be worn for three months.

In some South Carolina prisons, inmates who break the rule are housed together in areas where women are not allowed to work, officials said. "They are trying to humiliate or offend females," Gelinas said.

In the prison agency's most recent argument, the department cited a Florida case where 12 female nurses were awarded nearly $1 million in January in their sexual harassment case against that state's Department of Corrections. A jury held the agency liable for harassment because administrators failed to prevent inmates from exposing themselves and from making "sexually demeaning" comments to women, according to the court filing.

I love these guys with degrees telling everyone else how to do their jobs; I wonder what it would be like if the tables were reversed.

A human rights advocate said officials should focus on taking away privileges, not colors.

"Of course you should protect staff from sexual harassment, but there are other ways to do it besides this degradation and putting people at risk," Jamie Fellner, U.S. director of Human Rights Watch said. "Prisons are funny places, and you start pointing fingers at people for specific things and you can set off all kinds of stuff."

Where are the feminists in all of this?

HYPOCRISY: When will it ever end!

I'm sorry Lord, forgive me but my first thought was not to pray for this jerk; but on second thought he is just the kind of guy who needs our prayers.

A minister and Christian radio station employee has been charged with indecent exposure as well as DUI and violation of the open container law, the Kingsport Times-News reported.

Tommy Tester, 58, of Bristol, Va., was arrested last week by Johnson City police after they say he urinated in front of children at a car wash.

Police also said Tester, who was wearing a skirt, offered to perform oral sex on officers who responded to the car wash.

Well, in that case, perhaps I should send him some "Tommy Girl" by Tommy Helfigir ...

... or do you think the "Boy" version would be best. Did you know that these products are called Tommy Testers? No I'm not joking! Guess it's a girl thing!

I wonder if there's an "It" blend?

Station WZAP, in Bristol, Virginia, offered this ...

We do not know all the details and facts concerning the arrest; but for the time being Tommy has been relieved of his responsibilities at the station until such facts surrounding the case are determined.

Station owner Al Morris added this ...

Morris said Monday in a phone interview that Tester, known to listeners as "Tommy Tester," is also pastor of Gospel Baptist Church on Reedy Creek Road. "So far, they (members of the congregation) have rallied behind Tommy," Morris said.

Morris, who was on vacation when he first heard about the allegations and read the details in the Johnson City Press, added, "It's the biggest shock of my life."

Having since read the two police reports over and over again, Morris spoke of his desire to wait until all the facts are revealed in court before condemning Tester, "I know what the police report has told me and I know what Tommy has told me--Tommy has denied all of it."

I don't know what the circumstances were; or what Tester did or did not do ... but I do know this, HE WAS DOING SOMETHING THAT GOT HIM HEADLINES, BAD HEADLINES!

Fans of gospel music likely know the name Tommy Tester well.

Unfortunately ... correct that! Fortunately he'll be singing another song now - a song of repentance!
