The Internet and the news is alive with the YouTube audio/video "Obama Bombshell Redistribution of Wealth Audio"; the topic being Obama's "redistribution of the wealth" (see audio/video at the bottom).

Then, to augment this topic, in my Inbox was an Evan Coyne Maloney (producer/director of Indoctrinate U, the wildly popular expose of American academia) post which linked to a post by Robert Bluey (see second quote below), which had the following comment from "daveg" of Papa Golf Chronicles regarding an anecdotal method of explaining Barack Obama's Marxist approach to America's "wealth" (I love it) ...

Play Monopoly. Wait until some of the kids start to amass a nice pile of money. As they collect rent, take 36% and distribute it to the kids that aren’t doing as well.

If you’re a parent, you know that screams of “That’s not fair!!” are guaranteed.

Use this opportunity to explain the Democratic (mis)definition of the word “fair.”

In a local restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08″ tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference–just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I’ve decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

Listen again to Karen (I believe she's a plant, probably one of Obama's law students), who mentions something called "reparative economic work." This is textbook Marxism. Have you ever heard the word "reparations" ("the making of amends for wrong or injury done: reparation for an injustice")?

If I hear between the lines, and I think I do, Obama is not interested in general redistribution of wealth, he is focused on specific and targeted redistribution ... namely to the black community, which, as Limbaugh has mentioned time and time again, has failed to rise up from the bottom like other minorities even though train loads of money have been given to them since the Democrats' "war on poverty." Money just does not work for some reason.

If you want to live in an America that mirrors the nations of the world who practice this kind of stuff (Cuba, Venezuela, China, Viet Nam, North Korea, etc.) vote for Obama; if you don't, then don't vote for Obama.

Mark my words (ala Joe the Dissembler), if Obama is elected he will try to make this generation pay for the sins of our fathers through reparations, but it will not work. The disease that afflicts this segment of our society is self-inflicted and will continue unabated. Perhaps it's time to see the victimization of blacks for what it really is!

OPINION: Ignore your base in politics at your own peril!

In the same way Michael Malone is ashamed of his present association with Journalism [h/t News Busters], I'm ashamed of my present association with and support of another major American institution ... the GOP and its Neo-cons!

Like the Russian Roulette player who thought you had to remove one bullet rather than the other five, the shakers and movers of the Grand Ole Party of the Republic have managed to blow their brains out, but haven't a clue why.

The situation the conservative base now finds itself in (an impending Super Majority) should never have happened. These idiots went into government service to change politics and instead were themselves changed by it.

As Limbaugh continues to remind us, Reagan was and is revered because he appealed to the conservative base across all party lines, races, politics, ethnicities, religions, and cultures. And he did it lightheartedly and with a spring in his step and a smile on his face. The Gipper was and is the personification of an ideal that appeals to all conservative Americans.

The reason the liberals in America are winning is that their leadership, unlike ours, know their base and appeal to it -

60s radicals, socialists, middle-aged flower-children, neo-commies, victims of "the system," black-racists, relativists, iconoclasts, cultural demagogs, closet anarchists, anti-American Americans, east and west coast snobs and elitists, the MSM, protesters, rebels, the unemployed and unemployable, immigrants, ethnic minorities, entitlists, the uneducated, the ill-informed, the ignorant, druggies, unions and union workers, special interest groups, and anyone who is willing to sell his soul and his country for a price.

Barack Obama is a perfect fit for the liberal base; John McCain was and is not even a modest fit for the conservative base ... it's a shame Sarah Palin is not at the head of the ticket. If the MSM and the federal super majority in DC do not fix it so she can't, I will support her for the conservative ticket till hell freezes over in four years, if she runs.

It's going to be a long four years, a sloggingly long four years. God help us!

It is a sad time in a once great nation, and many are beginning to come to that realization.

Good grief, two young women are murdered in cold blood while talking to a 911 dispatcher and the FBI caves in to Muslim political correctness. What in the hell is happening to this great nation?

The FBI removed all mention of the controversial term “honor killing” from the wanted poster of a double-murder suspect after FOXNews.com ran a story announcing the use of the term.

A few zealots come here to live the good life but want to corrupt the very freedoms that make that life good, and our senior law enforcement agency kowtows to their whines.

According to family members, Said felt he was compelled to kill his daughters because they had disgraced the family by dating non-Muslims and acting too "Western."

The girls’ great aunt, Gail Gartrell, has always called the case an “honor killing.” And for a few days — until last Friday — the FBI publicly agreed.

Look folks, you don't have to be a Harvard graduate or a community organizer to see what is happening here.

If it smells like an honor killing, sounds like an honor killing, looks like an honor killing, and feels like an honor killing then it's not just an everyday murder by some sicko Muslim freak!

We now use the term "hate crime" for all kinds of borderline crapola and the feds won't budge in their use of it ... but a handful of immigrants whine and moan and bar the doors Hannah, we must use ethnic sensitive terms to keep them from burning up downtown or killing their non-Muslim neighbors.

Some Muslims have objected to the term "honor killing" because they say it attaches a religious motive to a crime, which could lead to discrimination against Muslims.

What the????? Of course "it attaches to a religious motive" ... duh! We're talking about two young lives here, not hurt feelings.

Discrimination my great aunt's fanny; it's the boldfaced truth; they deserve to be called out till they renounce the practice and condemn the practitioners.

We can't deny the facts, if indeed the facts are true; both the AP and Yahoo! have been known to shade the facts in favor of a point.

The environmental damage only now is becoming apparent: At least a half million gallons of crude oil spilled into the Gulf of Mexico and the marshes, bayous and bays of Louisiana and Texas, according to an analysis of federal data by The Associated Press.

Clearly we must improve the storm security of our off shore drilling industry if we ever hope to sway the public about drilling for oil while alternate technologies are introduced.

Race is arguably the biggest issue in this election, and it's one that nobody's talking about.

No one is talking about it because it is not an issue, let alone a big issue.

Although I must admit I encountered an anecdotal example of blue collar racism against the candidate (just yesterday), racism is not an issue in our current election campaign ... the issues are!

Cafferty's suggestion is race-baiting at its slimiest; such a thing implies a Nader voter is a racist, a Paul voter is a racist, and (most revealing) all who voted for Clinton or Edwards in their primaries are racists.

Then the CNN trooper admits it's not racism, it's political worldviews that are at work ... only he can't grasp his man is losing.

The differences between Barack Obama and John McCain couldn't be more well-defined. Obama wants to change Washington. McCain is a part of Washington and a part of the Bush legacy. Yet the polls remain close. Doesn't make sense…unless it's race.

Sorry Jack, it probably doesn't make sense to you because you're simply "out of touch."

The truth is Obama may well regain his lead! But race baiting is one of the many things troubling the public about the media and politics today, and another reason why Palin has turned so many independent and leaner heads.

Or could it be that you don't understand the real basis for the current administration's low approval ratings? Could it be he (as Limbaugh has said many times) is more popular than the polls reveal, and that his apparent unpopularity is just that, only an appearance of unpopularity?

Time magazine's Michael Grunwald says race is the elephant in the room. He says Barack Obama needs to tread lightly as he fights back against the McCain-Palin campaign attacks.

I guess he wants company with his crime.

1. If Obama was speaking of Sarah Palin, he should be tarred and feathered, ridden out of town on a rail, and forgotten ... but he wasn't referring to Palin.
   
2. To say so is one thing, to make it a "lipstick gate" is another.
   
3. It lowers McCain-Palin people to the same level as the Obama-Biden people.
4. FACT: Obama was careless in his use of and delivery of a metaphor, at a public venue ... a dangerous thing for a presidential candidate.
5. The thing to notice in the video is the audience, they misunderstood Obama too (as some of you have)! They also thought he was referring to Palin!
   
6. Their predisposition to such a thing is shameful ... get on them, but not the candidate, except that he deserves heat for poor judgment, and that is a real campaign issue.

The war is over. Some danger may still loom, but major fighting is finished. Besides, we're spending billions per year keeping our forces over there. We've trained 'em and armed 'em. It's time their duplicitous government and weak, untested military sink or swim on their own and stop lounging under our security umbrella. Our rapid withdrawal will be just the wake up call they need to get serious and grow up.

For those of you who like to keep fresh on your apologetics from a Judeo-Christian/Western point of view, David Thompson has an excellent post of the subject of relativism ... though his reference point is not a defense of the Judeo-Christian worldview but rather from a defense of historical western thought.

For some, it is ideologically intolerable that so called ‘Western ways of knowing’ should be largely preeminent in their effectiveness and rewards. If certain ways of looking at the world tend to produce advantages, both materially and culturally, this must somehow be ‘unfair’ and subject to correction, or at least disdain. Thus we arrive at assertions that, for instance, the scientific method and expectations of evidence should not be “privileged” above other, less reliable modes of thinking.

In common usage, this levelling of knowledge claims reduces analysis to mere opinion or lifestyle choice, and is corrosive to critical thought for fairly obvious reasons. In order to maintain a pretence of ‘fairness’ and non-judgmental equivalence, there are any number of things one cannot allow oneself to think about, at least in certain ways.

Thompson is one of my favorite contemporary thinkers; not all but most of his posts are pleasing to the windmills of my mind! It's worth the trip [here].

I believe the greatly maligned and feared Third World War has already begun; it will not be a conventional war but one of stealth, yet every bit as dangerous as a shooting war.

I believe it began during the infamous protest movements of the 60s [HT: Black Kettle] and the 70s; the failed presidency of Jimmie Carter only accelerated its arrival.

I believe the presidency of Ronald Reagan only served to delay the inevitable.

I believe those world leaders and geopolitical groups, that long to unseat Western Civilization from its global throne, have discovered our leaders are fools and dupes (also here, here, and here).

I believe the bravado behind Russia's revanchist invasion of Georgia to be clear evidence of Russia's opinion of Western leaders, especially American leaders.

I also believe the world's iconification of Jimmie Carter, Yaser Arafat, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and Barack Obama (also here) is evidence of this.

I believe our diplomatic failures (here and here also), since 9/11, reveal American and European leaders for what they are: duplicitous - absent vision and backbone, with a yellow stripe up their backs as wide as an Interstate; for the most part they are self-obsessed, greedy, historically out of touch with reality, and incapable of speaking truth!

I believe Muslims are right when they say Western leaders have no will for the long fight; the high price is no longer exacted from totalitarian states or their leaders.

I believe an omnipotent force, far outside any and all natural forces, is at work to orchestrate a global conflict that will make the first two World Wars look like a sandbox fight between two year-olds.

I believe the world is slouching towards Gomorrah faster than Robert Bork could have ever grasped.

I believe liberalism, that pernicious and omnipresent evil and constant antagonist for common sense, is nothing more than socialism in drag.

The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.

Today we're warned that blog censors will soon be scouring British Internet sites for offending content. [Telegraph.co.uk; HT: Iain Dale's Diary]

Internet users will be protected from abusive bloggers and malicious Facebook postings under proposals to set up an independent internet watchdog, The Daily Telegraph has learnt.

The body, made up of industry representatives, would be responsible for drawing up guidelines that social networking sites, the blogosphere, website owners and search engines would be expected to follow.

Since the American intelligentsia seem to be in charge of our asylum nowadays, and since they also seem to be animated by European social and political views, we can only assume this kind of thing will arrive on our shores very soon ... if it hasn't already.

ISLAM: Confessions of an Islamophobe!

Col. Bud Day and the John McCain campaign are catching a lot of heat today for a remark attributed to Day and apparently redacted later through a another McCain surrogate.

Well, they (at least their leaders; HT: FrontPage) "have said they're going to kill us"! And, to the best of my recollection, they (Muslims) have not risen up with a united voice and condemned what their leaders "have said."

My worldview is an admixture of what I know to be true and what I believe to be true; and, thanks to definitions provided by Islamophobia Watch, (a decent and, for the most part, fair Muslim apologetics blog) I've discovered I am an Islamophobe!

According to IW an Islamophobe is ...

This definition, from the 1997 document 'Islamophobia: A Challenge For Us All' is widely accepted, including by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia.
The eight components are:

1) Islam is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change.
2) Islam is seen as separate and 'other'. It does not have values in common with other cultures, is not affected by them and does not influence them.
3) Islam is seen as inferior to the West. It is seen as barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist.
4) Islam is seen as violent, aggressive, threatening, supportive of terrorism and engaged in a 'clash of civilisations'.
5) Islam is seen as a political ideology and is used for political or military advantage.
6) Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand.
7) Hostility towards Islam is used to justify discriminatory practices towards Muslims and exclusion of Muslims from mainstream society.
8) Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal.

Clearly I am phobic about Islam and Muslims ... with the exception of the second clause in the second sentence of number 2, the first half of number 3, the essence of numbers 6 & 7 ... I am guilty of it all. Other definitions on the page provided little help with this politically incorrect malady.

People whose lives and way of life are threatened tend to be that way. Duh!

IW's post (a reflection of the Miami Herald's report) goes on to catalog several prominent Muslim's reactions to the Day comments; what's missing is any reference to their indignation concerning any of the innumerable atrocities committed daily in the Muslim world (here, here, or here) that have led Day and others to hold this low view of Islam and its Muslim adherents!

I'd even accept a broad-brush generalization to the effect that Islam has a global problem with fanatical teachers, preachers, politicos, and followers ... and many innocent people are suffering horribly in the name of Allah at the hands of vast numbers of Mohammed's followers.

While preoccupied with the War on Terror, America is in danger of going the way of England and Canada; who've allowed power hungry ideologues to co-opt their language, to revise word meanings for political ends, and to take these two bastions of democratic history to the brink of McCarthy-like (even Nazi-like) insanity.

Democracy, for sound reasons, is predicated on the existence of dissenting opinions, discussion, and open debate. The harassment of individuals at their employment, solely on the basis of party affiliation, private or perceived opinion can have absolutely no place in a democracy.

And yet in England, one can lose his employment and/or her membership in an organization for just such reasons and without public outcry.

While in Canada one is hauled before a politically-based, unconstitutional tribunal of multiculturalists to answer for one's speech or opinion.

Let me paraphrase a commenter's take on the UK situation ...

[this has become] a threat to the livelihood of any dissenter to the prevailing, and increasingly stifling political ideology. This has not only created a climate of fear and resentment among the general public, it has helped to establish an anti-intellectual consumer politics, in which ill-conceived, unworkable ideas are presented to the public as pearls of wisdom.

Now consider for a moment the number of words and views we Americans are tacitly "forbidden" from saying or even thinking ...

WORDS
How about "queer" and "homo," or "dike" and "fag"; how about "nigger" and "darkie," or "terrorist" and "zealot"; and how about "chick" or "broad."

VIEWS
How about concepts and ideas that result in being called a "sexist," "misogynist," "xenophobe," "fascist," "racist," "homophobe," "Islamophobe," "insensitive," "fundamentalist," or "intolerant."

It doesn't matter that our words are used in a valid context or that our views are based on fact and/or solid reason ... it just doesn't matter! Yet in the founding of this nation, men wiser than all of us determined that the most unreasonable speech and irrational view had a place in our democratic republic.

Consider also, the multitude of lawsuits by Muslim fanatics who've shackled Homeland Security programs and first-responder personnel due to "racist" and "profiling" claims.

On the other hand, how many of us have turned up our noses when a friend is discovered to be a Communist or a Socialist, or a neighbor to be a white supremacist or member of NAMBLA? How many of us snicker at Fred Phelps and his disgusting Wichita congregation? How many mock Louie Farakan and his legion of best-dressed, black men in America? How many of us want them stopped "by the government" just for their ideas or opinions?

Worse, how many stand silently by while, rightly or wrongly, Americans and/or American groups are vilified by ignorant or unthinking fellow Americans? What is your reaction to jokes about Rush's views or Gore's luke-warming opinions? Those freedoms we cherish so much must be available to all Americans, no matter how offensive they seem on the surface.

Take away one American's freedom and you take away all Americans' freedoms.

Democracy, for sound reasons, is predicated on the existence of dissenting opinions, discussion, and open debate.

Short of an individual's or group's actions, we must support all of America's right to disagree ... openly!

ISLAM: And the 4th of July (USA)!

Last night, while reading subscribed news and views, I ruminated on the global problem of Islam. One thing that bothers a lot of people is the vocabulary of the War on Terror (WOT) and the desire by the world's bleeding hearts to avoid confronting truth when it is staring them in the face.

These sincere and intelligent members of the human race (for the most part) are trying desperately to avoid being intolerant, racist, and Islamophobic. Good for them; but it just won't fly! Coining new terms and phrases just pushes the ostrich's head further in the sand ... the lion will still devour those fat breasts.

You can't be tolerant of what is intentionally intolerant of you (they won't let you); you can't be racist toward a group or organization that has no common racial identity (regardless of what the multiculturalists tell you); and there is nothing uncivil or asocial about fear, it is an emotion, like love, and comes naturally (it's there for our protection) and we all have the right to fear Islam.

So, yes, I am an Islamophobic ... I fear Islam, and I am unashamed.

It is a lie anyway, based on lies and half-truths. Apart from its outrageous eternal prognostications and promises, it is principally a "this world" theology and philosophy. Holding forth little in the way hope or answers for man's problems (even their charitable work is political) in this life or the next.

Upon inspection, Islam can't hold a candle to Judaism or Christianity. Their's is a geopolitical movement, it always has been. From the day their founder died and went before the Judge of judges, they've sought to conquer nations not souls.

On the one hand, the do-gooders would have us speak using a manufactured vocabulary (e.g. Islamophobia, Jihadist), redefining old tried and true terms (e.g., racist, defamation), diverting the attention of the masses. Their intent is to avoid painting innocents with the same brush as the guilty. Cannot do!

If Muslim diplomats the world over were to lobby for international and Western laws against blasphemy, that would likely trigger [one] reaction -- not just from those who believe in Christianity, Judaism, etc., but from atheists, too, who might not go quietly into a merger of mosque and state.

But calling blasphemy by the word "defamation" (and making up a special new word to mislead the proposed law's targets), makes sure that fewer alarm bells in the West will ring. It transforms an attempt to Islamicize our entire legal system into merely another lawsuit amongst countless others. That's the diplomatic sleight-of-hand that [they are] peddling.

One of the sad and grievable facts of warfare (and even though this is an atypical and asymmetrical war, it is war all the same ... to the death and for the survival of Western Civilization), is that innocents suffer right along with the rest of us. Consider the following anecdote:

On the Fourth of July, here in the United States, we spend a lot of time and money blowing and burning things up (fireworks to be specific).

We also spend a great deal of time . Why? Because they are dangerous (the fireworks) and irresponsible (the children). It is because we love our families that most of us take the necessary precautions to keep the former out of the hands of the latter.

Now fireworks come in all kinds and styles, shapes and sizes, colors and outcomes. Some fireworks are relatively harmless, but the irresponsibility and creativity of kids in combination has a remarkable history of disaster. It would be unwise for us to allow our children to be exposed, on a personal level, to something with a potential for disaster on this scale.

You can still purchase fireworks that will literally blow up a car, bind a few of them together and you can blow up a bus full of people, or blow up yourself. Airlines will not allow you carry any fireworks onto an aircraft ... especially since 911 ... and it is not racial profiling if you are caught trying to do so.

And so it is with Islam. Not all of Islam is a danger to the world, but most of it is; and the potential for disaster in the hands of the wrong people makes Islam a danger to all of us. They too have their big ones, those that can find ways to do a lot of damage and ruin a lot of lives; get enough of the dangerous ones together in the wrong place and you can end up in a world of hurt.

Now I won't let my grandkids touch any of the fireworks, since to them they are all dangerous; but for my teenage daughter and my adult children it is a different thing; still my older son and I handle and ignite the really big ones ... they are very dangerous, even in our cautious hands. So he and I announce to one and all, we've a war against improper exposure to our fireworks each year, and we profile the whole lot to separate them according to their danger to our families.

So I don't want anyone around Islam; it is a dangerous thing. Not all Muslims are dangerous, but enough of them threaten the stability of life as we know it to make me warn them of all Muslims. When it comes to the really big Muslims, you can't tell them apart from the little ones (and vice versa), so to heck with them all.

As The CRIB has said many times before, if Muslims won't cleanup their own yard, someone will have to clean it up for them.

It is because we love our people, nation, and way of life (as flawed as it is) that we want to keep Islam away from our people, our nation, and our lives ... at least in this life and in this world.

Fortunately we hear more voices of reason (also here) speaking out against the duplicity of Islam and her promoters.

ISLAM: On lacking common sense or contact with reality?

The fact there are thousands of people in the Western World who do not understand the following but, rather, accept the contra, scares the hell out of me and makes me fear for my children and their children's children.

ANGLICAN ANGST: Rowan Williams can't see the forest or the trees!

Which photo is the real Rasputin; which is his Anglo reincarnation, Rowan Williams?

Not much difference between the two in many respects; both are/were mouthpieces for once great but failed human institutions, both have spoken absurdly on geo-social issues, and both are/were not known for being the brightest bulbs in the room.

Williams, in a recent interview with a Muslim propaganda machine, waxed eloquently (as Brit intellectuals are fond of doing ... bless them) about world affairs ...

“We have only one global hegemonic power,” he said according to London’s Telegraph newspaper. “It is not accumulating territory: it is trying to accumulate influence and control. That’s not working.

“It is one thing to take over a territory and then pour energy and resources in to administering it and normalizing it. Rightly or wrongly, that’s what the British Empire did in India, for example,” added Williams, who has been a long-time critic of the war in Iraq.

“It is another thing to go in on the assumption that a quick burst of violent action will somehow clear the decks and that you can move on and other people will put it back together – Iraq, for example.”

How is it a man of his experience and intelligence cannot see the specific application of his own words to the global actions of Muslim extremists since pre-1948 times? Is he unaware that his own nation has been involved it the Iraq War since its inception? Duh!

Is Williams saying that what is good for the goose is verboten for the gander? Both can be right, or both wrong, in their choice of methodologies - but one cannot be wrong and the other right!

TERROR: I told you so!

I recently posted on the foolish, immature, short-sighted, appeasing mentality of Western bureaucrats ... and I warned that the recent release of the Korean hostages, through bribery, would only embolden the terrorists.

Afghanistan's Taliban plan to abduct and kill more nationals from foreign countries whose troops serve under NATO and the U.S. military in the country, a spokesman for the Islamic movement warned on Monday.

"Whose troops serve"! How blind our leaders have become; how earnestly they desire to repeat history.

The vow comes just days after the Taliban released 19 South Korean hostages after their government struck a deal that critics said sets a dangerous precedent that could spur more kidnappings and make life even more dangerous for foreigners.

The West simply doesn't grasp or understand the mind and heart of a terrorist; their juvenile, psychobabblistic thinking paints them into corner after corner. And they consider themselves educated men and women ... they may be, but they lack what I know as common sense.

"We consider it (kidnapping) as an arm that can help us in imparting a blow to the enemy," Taliban spokesman Qari Mohammad Yousuf told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed location.

For the most part they idolize hate, and they covet the image of fear in an enemies eyes! What else could you expect from someone who has nothing but an AK-47 or an RPG to their name; and the promise of three unearned meals a day.
