ISLAM: On lacking common sense or contact with reality?

The fact there are thousands of people in the Western World who do not understand the following but, rather, accept the contra, scares the hell out of me and makes me fear for my children and their children's children.

TERROR: I told you so!

I recently posted on the foolish, immature, short-sighted, appeasing mentality of Western bureaucrats ... and I warned that the recent release of the Korean hostages, through bribery, would only embolden the terrorists.

Afghanistan's Taliban plan to abduct and kill more nationals from foreign countries whose troops serve under NATO and the U.S. military in the country, a spokesman for the Islamic movement warned on Monday.

"Whose troops serve"! How blind our leaders have become; how earnestly they desire to repeat history.

The vow comes just days after the Taliban released 19 South Korean hostages after their government struck a deal that critics said sets a dangerous precedent that could spur more kidnappings and make life even more dangerous for foreigners.

The West simply doesn't grasp or understand the mind and heart of a terrorist; their juvenile, psychobabblistic thinking paints them into corner after corner. And they consider themselves educated men and women ... they may be, but they lack what I know as common sense.

"We consider it (kidnapping) as an arm that can help us in imparting a blow to the enemy," Taliban spokesman Qari Mohammad Yousuf told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed location.

For the most part they idolize hate, and they covet the image of fear in an enemies eyes! What else could you expect from someone who has nothing but an AK-47 or an RPG to their name; and the promise of three unearned meals a day.

REALITY: I don't think the world will ever be real again!

If you saw six Blacks bowing down to a White massa', your shorts are knotted and you need to get real; you've lost touch like most of your neighbors.

If you're a black and saw that, I don't think there's any hope for your conflicted, hate-filled, self-obsessed soul!

If you're a White Homey and agree with the Black's; I'd suggest you send your degrees back because you're overeducated and didn't learn anything worth retaining, they're meaningless ... you over-educated, sophomoric slob ... you are so blind from your pompous self-righteousness you're wholly useless to your fellow man!

If you saw a confusing ad from a high-tech giant that makes no sense to you because you're tech-challenged ... besides what the h__l do six swimmers or runners have to do with Intel anyway ... for you, I assume the last thing on your mind was writing a letter because your sensibilities were offended.

Intel pulled the ad, giving in to political correctness ... gawrrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!! [Even though it's a lousy ad the pressure was assinine!]

Stockholders have executives and Boards of Directors to make their decisions - right or wrong! How can the investors hope for fiducial responsibility from a rabble that drinks from the cesspool of popular opinion.

Here's why Intel caved!

According to Snopes' Urban Legends page:

The intent of the ad was to emphasize the ability of Intel's Core 2 Duo Processors to "boost productivity and efficiency by running multiple computing-intensive applications at once" through the visual imagery of presenting a team of (identical) sprinters down in set positions, ready to take off and blaze their way through the office environment while a pleased IT Manager stands amidst them bearing a look of confidence and satisfaction.

Unfortunately, more than a few viewers saw something quite different in that imagery: a group of dark-skinned men bowing down in subservience to a smug, light-skinned overseer. The ad created enough of a controversy that Intel pulled it from the publications in which it was scheduled to appear, and Intel's vice president of Sales and Marketing issued a public apology on behalf of the company ...

We're all living a surreal lala land! God please help us?

DISCERNMENT: We Often Fail Discernment's Test

The heat of the moment and the heat of the issue: both cause believers to lose sight of the obvious - sin is a global issue, not a single issue, and it resides in the hearts of all mankind.

Christians forget their battle is not against flesh and blood (individuals) but against forces of darkness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12), not against single issues but against the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the boastful pride of life (1 John 2:15-16).

Truth says, "No one can do everything!" ... besides, some hills are just not worth dying on, let alone climbing. In spite of secular hype for multitasking, working on everything at once is dissipating, wearying, and inefficient to the homo sapien. For example ...

While there is a temptation for Christians to label whatever is not in keeping with [their view of] sound doctrine as heresy, the Bible seems to make the distinction that heresy is not merely the opposite of orthodoxy. Rather -

- heresy is a divisive teaching or practice which forces those who call themselves Christians to separate from it or face condemnation for it.

John the Apostle gave a prime example of such a doctrine: denying the true nature of the person and work of Jesus Christ (1 John 4:1-3; 2 John 1:7-11). [Source; my emphases]

Satan has done a frighteningly good job of distracting us from the real battle (he is not referred to by the Lord as "the father of lies" for no mean purpose (John 8:44). He is able to get well-intentioned but non-discerning Christians so wound up over single or peripheral issues they fail to discern reality.

They are then frustrated because no one else sees Christian mission as they see it ("why isn't she working as hard as I am," "why don't they do it my way," "why would they want to do it that way, any idiot can see my way is better," "that won't work, but I know a way that will"). Frustration then turns to fault-finding in order to assuage a very guilty conscience.

Some members of the Body of Christ are so busy pointing fingers at what is wrong with others, they fail to see the huge chinks in their own armor (if they wear any at all).

For instance, they may attend a bible study, where they hear, over several weeks, several hours of good teaching; suddenly their sensory neurons pick up one statement they don't agree with ... the next day they solemnly announce, "I can't go back there; not if he's going to continue to teach false doctrine."

This makes them a gossip, a backbiter, and apparently the sole arbiter of what is acceptable teaching in the church. For someone seeking an excuse to leave a bible study, any excuse is adequate. Sadly, they busy themselves trying to recruit others to join them, "If we don't stop her, she'll kill our church."

Thank God for the discerning amongst us, those who don't fall for Satan's deceptions.
