Google has added a magazine rack to its Internet search engine. As part of its quest to corral more content published on paper, Google Inc. has made digital copies of more than 1 million articles from magazines that hit the newsstands decades ago.[Yahoo! News]
For now, the old magazine articles can be found only through Google's search service for finding digital copies of books. But the Mountain View, Calif.-based company plans to eventually include magazine articles in its general search results.

Some heretics slither around the fringe of the church, damaging what they can, when they can; others openly flaunt their ignorance and disbelief, publicly slashing here, slashing there!
Such is the work of a heretic.
Wendy Doniger has not been known as a member of the latter category, having preferred the ethereal environment of the academic cloak, damaging what she can, when she can. But Sarah Palin has brought her out of her cloister, to be seen and heard by the whole world.
Having no faith in the Word of God as the Word of God, she comes out, in her Newsweek piece, speaking as if speaking for God! Warning others not to force their beliefs on others, Doniger forces her heretical views on all.
Her anthropocentric "faith" leaves no room for the God she professes believe in; instead, she amalgamates whatever feminist, liberation, mystical, secular relativism she can garner and disdainfully throws it in our path as if wearing a prophet's mantle ... insinuating to her reader, it is the only truth they need to know.
Not knowing the Truth, the Life, The Way, or Sarah Palin, she pretends to speak for God and proceeds to tell authentic believers how screwed up they are (a perfect resume for priesthood during the dark ages) ... well, the word of God has a message for Wendy Doniger, and she should listen ...There are six things which the LORD hates,
Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
And hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that run rapidly to evil,
A false witness who utters lies,
And one who spreads strife among brothers.
Notwithstanding her patently offensive lies concerning Sarah Palin's spiritual views (sanctity of life, abstinence, evangelism, witness, motherhood, family values, environmental issues, and just war), her appalling effrontery at pretending her own theology is orthodox, is both insulting and buffoonerish.
That people such as this can sit in academic chairs and claim objectivity is beyond my ability to comprehend; that young people might sit at her feet is beyond the pale.
You, Madame Doniger, are not only a heretic, but are probably a leftist, baby killing, treasonous capitulator, feminista-spinster, misandrist.

Implied in that phrase is a warning to listeners: WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO HEAR IS CLOUDED BY THE DANGEROUS TEACHINGS OF A THREAT TO GLOBAL SECURITY AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY'S WELFARE!
Unless for ulterior reasons, it is unnecessary to highlight a candidate's religious convictions.
According to Barack Obama's own testimony he "is most definitely Christian." He said as much in his interview with Bill O'Reilly. And yet O'Reilly (to his credit) did not introduce him with the same appellation.
It is just as necessary that an atheist candidate not allow his personal spiritual convictions to adversely affect his political decisions and/or actions as it is for a Christian, Buddhist, or Mormon to not allow theirs to do so.
Very few authentic-Christians wear their faith on their sleeves; even fewer are publicly aggressive about their faith.

When I hear leftists and socialists, and the MSM, speak on religious or theological aspects of Sarah Palin's faith, I am reminded of prepubescents questioning adult decisions.
It's like the Louvre hiring a playground chalk artist to make new acquisitions. It's like an air guitarist replacing Aerosmith's lead guitarist. It is flat out embarrassing ... for the critics.
So ridiculous and juvenile are their concerns and questions that authentic believers are rendered speechless.
They are mad! Very mad! Mad at McCain-Palin! Mad at you! Mad at me! Why? Because we embarrassed them during and after the RNC; because they know they are responsible for the incredible and apparently lasting McCain bump. [CNN HT - NB]

Sanctification is, in its simplest terms, the hand-in-hand walk of the believer with the Holy Spirit ... we take one step while He takes one giant step.
Lately my Christian personality has been bifurcated to the extreme; on the one hand, I feel this world is hopeless, so Come Lord Jesus ... NOW! On the other hand, I constantly feel the power of God and His victory over all of life's challenges [Romans 8:33-39]. Yes, faith is my victory; it will overcome the world. [1 John 5:4-5]
Living with a half-empty, half-full bottle of sanctification is the pits ... but it is also a choice. Oh, Lord, teach my Thy ways.

DVD REVIEW: Pure Flix Entertainment's Hidden Secrets
Before I get too far into the review, let me say this: Hidden Secrets is excellent Christian or family entertainment; safe for the whole family, even grandma and grandpa. On a 1 to 10 scale - clearly an eight-point-five or perhaps a nine.
The movie is very well done, considering the environment in which it is being produced. Other than a couple of minor but awkward performances, and a one moment of flaky scripting, I found nothing worth mentioning in the way of criticism.
Several of the performers perform exceptionally; especially noteworthy were Schnider and White. Vel Johnsons' performance (Pastor Wexler) was, well, disappointing. As a pastor myself I was somewhat offended by the mousiness of the character.
The unsaved and their secular masters, however, will see it for what it really is ... blatant theatrical evangelism ... but the producers aren't trying to hide that!
Foregiveness, in the context of struggle and faith, is the theme and message of Hidden Secrets.
From the dust jacket:What if your deepest secrets were suddenly exposed? Nine friends discover just how explosive it can be when their past becomes their present. Reunited at the funeral of hometown hero Chris Hayden, the friends find tensions escalating rapidly as their darkest secrets are revealed.The surprise ending is wonderful and truly surprising ... nuff said! The music track was by Rachael Lampa and Building 429. Both performances were quite good and, to their credit, believable tunes in context.
Jeremy (David A.R. White-"Mercy Streets"), struggling with his calling as a youth pastor, is caught in an awkward love triangle between his new fiancee and his old flame Sherry (Tracy Melchior-"Bold and Beautiful"). As the embers of the past relationship reignite. Jeremy's fiancee Rachel (Staci Keanan-"Step by Step"), who is determined to solidify their relationship, demands he affirm his commitment to her.
Meanwhile, Gary (John Schneider-"Dukes of Hazzard", "Smallville") questions everyone's beliefs as this close-knit group of friends disputes world views, lifestyles, and personal passions.
Pastor Wexler (Reginald Vel Johnson-"Die Hard", "Family Matters") encourages them not to give up but to follow the truth that Chris Hayden lived. Hidden Secrets is a story of love, friendship, redemption and ultimately faith. Humorous, touching and always entertaining.

My wife said "that is the best made for Christians movie we've seen; it's a shame people won't go to see it." I agree with the first part but disagree with the latter part.
If you and others remember that we're all in this together, you get your potato butt up off that sofa and go see this on April 30th (release date), or soon after!
