DECLARATION ONE: The CRIB has lost all respect for our national leadership and desires to move its CRIB HQ to another planet where we will see them again no more!
DECLARATION TWO: We are on the verge of losing all respect for global church leadership, except for Anglican leaders in Africa and Australia, only we can't expedite the Second Coming!

CAPTIAL: Of the public kind!
I was noticing the Republican debates are on tonight ... with a huge yawn I moved on. Then I thought ... the reason I'm yawning is that neither party has any public capital with me.We are like sheep being led to the slaughter. The Apostle Paul tells us ...
- There isn't a "candidate" in either party that could give me the sense he/she is a people's president.
- In fact other than Fred the DA I can't think of a singe politician I have any respect for (perhaps the reason Freddy resonates with many is that he is not a politician).
- There isn't a "candidate" in either party that has any public capital to spend on me.
- There isn't a "Dirty Harry" in the whole bunch; either side of the aisle.
- There is not one - Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist or Agnostic - that inspires me with their worldviews, their morals/ethics, their commitment to whatever, or their zeal for what they believe.
Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.Man, we've done some REAL evil, cause I'm scared spitless!
Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority?
Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience' sake.Romans 13:1-5

MORALITY: Another Christian leader under the microscope of public scrutiny.
Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals."The netwaves continue to wax and wane with the tides of Christian corruption.1 Corinthians 15:33
I know it won't stop, but I certainly wish it would a least abate.
In a withering report (reprinted by Christianity Today online) The Associated Baptist Press introduces grass roots believers to one Jason Christy ...
When young, charismatic Christian publisher Jason Christy was tapped two years ago to lead the powerful Christian Coalition, the group's leaders praised him for his ability "to inspire and encourage people of faith to action." But Christy's business dealings — both before and after his one-month affiliation with the Coalition — instead have inspired former customers and co-workers to file lawsuits charging Christy with defrauding their Christian businesses. In their piece, ABP reveals just how close Ralph Reeds' former bosses at Christian Coalition came to making an egregious employment error with Christy ...
Christy, 36, who apparently had no previous public-policy experience, persuaded the Christian Coalition in 2005 to place him in one of the most visible and powerful positions in evangelical life. But before the coalition's leaders officially turned over the reins of their 1.2 million-member national lobbying group, they learned of a trail of legal and financial problems that has followed Christy from coast to coast. Two young men below; two young men named Jason Christy; both serving someone; which do you admire most?
"Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."What I can't fathom ... I can fathom Christy ... is the number of evidently upstanding Evangelical shakers-and-movers, as well as Christian advertisers, who continue to keep company with this man.John 15:13
In fairness to Christy, I went to his blog, where he responded to these charges, and read his post. Christy's response is a "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" with a lot of "everyone is against me" and "can't we all just get along" pleading.
I'm sorry but those who opt to be leaders likewise opt to be held to a higher standard by default.
After reading the material present by ABP and Christy, I have some questions I think Mr. Cristy should answer:
- Were the legal actions taken by your critics used by them as an avenue of last resort?
- In other words, did they make reasonable attempts to settle their grievances with you, out of the secular courts? [we are admonished not to use the courts to settle our disputes; therefore they are an avenue of last resort (1 Corinthians 6:1-3)]
- Both CT and ABP suggest they did; are they wrong?
- In those cases which reached and were concluded in the secular courts; a) how many were there, b) how many were decided for the plaintiff and, how many of these have you satisfied by you according to the judgment handed down?
Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy. But to me it is a very small thing that I may be examined by you, or by any human court; in fact, I do not even examine myself. For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.Though it is true it will all be settled on Judgment Day, many more questions than answers survive here ... that's for darn sure!1 Corinthians 4:1-4

WORLD CLASS: Talk About Mixed Metaphors!
The Christian Post's title is "Bill Hybels' Leadership Summit Attracts World-Class Speakers." How is a guy to get around this one?
I would assume a major Christian news source and a major Mega-barn church and it main man would have "World-Class Speakers"! But there's no James Dobson, no John Stott, no James Packer, no Richard Land, not even a Paul or Andre Crouch! So who do they have?
Jimmy "The American Palestinian" Carter, Colin Powell, a Harvard "B-School" name, and a failed Silicon Valley executive ... all truly "world" class! It's a wonder they don't have Michael Moore.I'll give them credit; it truly is a "world" class program at Willow Crik!Following last year's exclusive interview with U2 frontman Bono, who drew church attention to the extreme poverty and AIDS pandemic in Africa and made it no less than a command for Christians to help those suffering, Willow Creek founder Bill Hybels landed interviews with Carter, Powell and filmmaker Richard Curtis to feature at this year's event.
Curtis is an Oscar-nominated screenwriter and co-founder of the Make Poverty History campaign and was also the driving force behind the recent success of the special "Idol Gives Back" program, which raised $70 million during the latest "American Idol" television season.
Other summit speakers appearing live at the South Barrington campus include Michael E. Porter of the Harvard Business School, one of the world’s foremost authorities on competitive strategy; Carly Fiorina, past president and chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard; John Ortberg, author, speaker, pastor, and leading voice on the subject of spiritual formation; Floyd H. Flake, senior pastor of the Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York in Queens and president of Wilberforce University in Ohio; Warren Bennis, prolific author and world-renowned leadership expert; and Hybels, one of the most influential evangelical pastors in the nation.
In spite of Boner's worldview on poverty, I just can't see how this helps the thousands of small church leaders, rural, poverty-stricken churches and "the least of these" in the world today.
Perhaps the article should be retitled: "What has Christ done for you lately; let Bill and his gang show you how to really succeed in this world!"

FAILED LEADERSHIP: And the Music Plays!
Another David bites the dust ...... and the damage to the cause of Christ continues. The founder of Canada's first national Christian television network has resigned after admitting to having an "extra-marital relationship with another woman" according to a press release issued by the Miracle Channel yesterday.
It is becoming increasingly clear that secular enterprise model is not compatible with the church.
