PALIN: HBO's "Real Time" and its hand puppets crippled mentally!
A homosexual resident alien, a gifted Jamaican rapper/songwriter, a foreign activist conspiracy theorist, and a potty-mouthed cristophobic "has been" comedian, have decided "we" must not elect Sarah Palin President.
First off, she's running for Vice President, though you'd think she was running for the big job the way they fear her.
Second, in spite of illegals messing with our elections, only citizens votes count in American elections.
And, most importantly, we are no longer colonists Naomi and Andy! Do you recall a little thing called the War of Independence? Where do British and Canadian citizens get off telling us who to proffer for elected office.
Their problem with Palin really sounds like she is just too nice, too personable, too clean, too decent, too grass roots, too rural, too happy, too religious, and too much NOT like them!

Some heretics slither around the fringe of the church, damaging what they can, when they can; others openly flaunt their ignorance and disbelief, publicly slashing here, slashing there!
Such is the work of a heretic.
Wendy Doniger has not been known as a member of the latter category, having preferred the ethereal environment of the academic cloak, damaging what she can, when she can. But Sarah Palin has brought her out of her cloister, to be seen and heard by the whole world.
Having no faith in the Word of God as the Word of God, she comes out, in her Newsweek piece, speaking as if speaking for God! Warning others not to force their beliefs on others, Doniger forces her heretical views on all.
Her anthropocentric "faith" leaves no room for the God she professes believe in; instead, she amalgamates whatever feminist, liberation, mystical, secular relativism she can garner and disdainfully throws it in our path as if wearing a prophet's mantle ... insinuating to her reader, it is the only truth they need to know.
Not knowing the Truth, the Life, The Way, or Sarah Palin, she pretends to speak for God and proceeds to tell authentic believers how screwed up they are (a perfect resume for priesthood during the dark ages) ... well, the word of God has a message for Wendy Doniger, and she should listen ...There are six things which the LORD hates,
Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
And hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that run rapidly to evil,
A false witness who utters lies,
And one who spreads strife among brothers.
Notwithstanding her patently offensive lies concerning Sarah Palin's spiritual views (sanctity of life, abstinence, evangelism, witness, motherhood, family values, environmental issues, and just war), her appalling effrontery at pretending her own theology is orthodox, is both insulting and buffoonerish.
That people such as this can sit in academic chairs and claim objectivity is beyond my ability to comprehend; that young people might sit at her feet is beyond the pale.
You, Madame Doniger, are not only a heretic, but are probably a leftist, baby killing, treasonous capitulator, feminista-spinster, misandrist.

Operation Blessing International wants American Christians and others, who just spent two weeks watching pagan China blow an estimated $40 billion dollars and use upwards of one million volunteers on this world's pagan games (oh, they were wonderful weren't they), to fund relief for Chinese citizens affected by a quake in May?
Is that right?
Sure, why not? We are and always have been the proverbial cookie jar for the world!
Oh, I know; Christians are supposed to do that kind of thing ... besides the poorest American is probably richer than 95% of the world's population. I suppose that's our fault too!

MOVIE REVIEW: August Rush
This is DVD only ... it is a classic love story with a unique fairytale quality. The sound track is exceptional, the music is foundational to the storyline, and the acting of the lead character, Freddie Highmore, is superb.
My family is very picky about movies ... there are the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly ... and then there are the rewatchable:Second Hand Lions, Hook, Dennis the Menace (Walter Matthau), Arsenic & Old Lace, Operation Petticoat, Cape Fear (original), Abbott & Costello, Eight Below, Key Largo, African Queen, Jack, Jungle Book (the movie), Jericho, a half dozen more, and now August Rush.Not everyone will like what we like, but this really impressed us all ... and there's a happy ending too.
You can get it for a $ at RedBox rentals ... so what do you have to lose?

ELECTION 2008: Recalibrating expections!
Disappointment comes from unfulfilled expectations; especially where expectations are unrealistic or imagined!
I am as guilty as many others, who have expected a reconstituted Bob Dole to lose handily to a beaming, resurrected suntanned JFK!
However, in a column published today (8/18/08) American Spectator's Philip Klein writes ...... if this weekend's forum hosted by Pastor Rick Warren at his Saddleback Church [video] is any indication of how the two candidates will perform in the presidential debates, it's time to recalibrate the existing expectations.I'm willing to listen and observe for the time being but I have my reservations about both candidates, especially Obama. Their mediocre images seem to me to reflect what appears to be a decline in stature for the USA.Obama showed humility [...] and invoked Matthew in discussing America's obligation to address poverty, racism, and sexism. This was classic Obama -- trying to frame his liberal views of economic and social justice in religious language.Considering the resurgence of a Soviet threat to the world, I am looking for an international leader, not a nambypamby follower or a capitulating fool ... excuse me I meant tool.
But within a few minutes of McCain taking the stage, it became clear that it was his night. While McCain is typically uncomfortable talking about his faith, he played to his strengths by discussing his powerful life story, showing his stature and experience, and flashing his sense of humor. He connected to the audience emotionally while Obama was academic and -- dare I say it -- boring by comparison.Aside from substance, McCain's style couldn't have been more different. While Obama gave long-winded and meandering answers [...], McCain's were short and to the point -- so much so that he was left with extra time for additional questions.One of my criticisms of John McCain has been his clouded stand of the sanctity of life ...Most importantly, McCain managed to meet the most important challenge of his campaign by coming off as independent and yet conservative -- on taxes, judges, and abortion (where he stated in clear terms that he believed that babies are entitled to human rights at the moment of conception).Klein's comment above certainly goes a long way to aiding me with that expectation.

Though the people of California have voted their opinion of same-sex marriage more than once, those a little light in their loafers have risen from their soiled beds and thrown back the majority each time.
Apparently, finding cowards and co-conspirators among California's legislative and judicial elites is as easy as staging a leftist parade in Berkley without a permit.
But the tables were recently turned when the state's Supremes ruled an amendment to the constitution to declare marriage in California "between a man and a woman" could go forward on the November 4 ballot.
Not being able to take no for an answer, even since childhood, these middle-aged neo-hippies took up bullying as a means to their ends.
LGBT's inability to allow the majority to rule reminds me of what Antony Flew recently said of atheist Richard Dawkins: "they have become what they and their fellow secularists typically believe to be an impossibility: namely, secular bigots." [CRIB paraphrase]
Flew clarifies that his "copy of The Oxford Dictionary defines a bigot as ‘an obstinate or intolerant adherent of a point of view.’"
There is no question in my mind any longer, some of the biggest bigots in our culture today are gays, black activists, democrats, feminists, and liberals of every hue.
I find it offensive to the nth degree that the lucre-marinated, boycott obsessed, free speech spouting LGBT would object to Doug Manchester and others exercising their freedom to speak their convictions and spend their money as they see fit.

FAMILY: They can run but they can't hide!
Sometimes it pays off to read a less than exciting article all the way to the end; John Laughland's piece in today's The Brussels Journal was such a piece; his final paragraph is spot on!Canada also joined in this social-engineering program ... since their bureaucracy is a far more liberal variant at the moment, the effects of their meddling with their culture, society, and traditions is having a far more dramatic effect.Through left-liberalism, European nations have systematically destroyed the values which, as extended families, they once embodied. The admission into their midst of very large numbers of people who will never be part of the family aggravates what is already a serious problem of social dislocation.
The attempt to reverse this trend by emphasising values may be a laudable one, but it can never succeed because the liberal paradigm on which it is based is wrong. It assumes that human societies are comparable to private companies and based on contract, when instead they are in fact comparable to families and based on the principles of blood relationship and paternity. That is a something which no amount of political sophistry can hide.
Clearly the United States is seeing dramatic evidence of the leading edge of this liberal dysfunction ... God ordained marriage as the medium through which the family best performs. What is surprising to see is the mob denial of leftists and liberals as the evidence continues to poor in.
The role of immigration in this national disintegration is becoming clearer with time. God revealed His compassion for the foreigner in the midst of Israel, but He warned the nation not to allow him to run things or be a part of His worship until he himself joined Israel in that worship.
