MOVIE REVIEW: August Rush

AUGUST RUSH - PG

This is DVD only ... it is a classic love story with a unique fairytale quality. The sound track is exceptional, the music is foundational to the storyline, and the acting of the lead character, Freddie Highmore, is superb.

My family is very picky about movies ... there are the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly ... and then there are the rewatchable:

Second Hand Lions, Hook, Dennis the Menace (Walter Matthau), Arsenic & Old Lace, Operation Petticoat, Cape Fear (original), Abbott & Costello, Eight Below, Key Largo, African Queen, Jack, Jungle Book (the movie), Jericho, a half dozen more, and now August Rush.

Not everyone will like what we like, but this really impressed us all ... and there's a happy ending too.
