ISLAM: Where have all the virgins gone?

I must be bored ... suddenly I found myself performing some free math ... if every Islamic male martyr is granted 70 virgins upon arrival in Ah-la-la Land, it must be running out of virgins.

Islam's concept of heaven (jannah) is disgustingly dissimilar to the Judeo-Christian concept at many levels but is very much the same at a few fundamental levels. For example, there is no continuing creation!

So where do all the virgins (houris) come from? And once a virgin is no longer vestal, what happens to her? Is she murdered for honor? If there is no death or sin in jannah, how is a sullied houris dealt with?

Just curious.

BTW, has anyone noticed the similarities between the origins of Mormonism and Muhammadism? I'm sure many have. Even the content is similar.

The five statues of local folk singers were created by Mrinal Haq, the country's best-known sculptor, for a government commission meant to enliven the dull Zia International airport. But thousands of Muslims came out to protest the sculptures, calling them idols and threatening to attack them with power tools (...)

Items like this are more common since Islam has become more activist and public; even in non-Muslim nations and areas of the world. QUESTION: Who determines the culture of a nation or what cultural traditions are important?

It is behavior such as this by religious zealots that prompted the wisdom of our founders when it came to the separation of church and state (such as it is).

ISLAM: And the Last Days!

It is just my opinion, but two things seem certain to me as we enter the leading edge of the one and only Last Days: first, there will be a worldwide war with Islam (and, if I am correct about the last days, Islam will gain the appearance of victory) and, second, signs of these last days will increase geometrically in the years ahead.

For the average man to keep track of current indicators is impossible; it must boggle the mind of even those trained in such a discipline.

Consider just one report from this morning's news ...

The war against free speech is advancing rapidly: Associated Press reported Thursday that “Muslim countries have won a battle to prevent Islam from being criticised during debates by the UN Human Rights Council.” Council President Doru-Romulus Costea explained that religious issues can be “very complex, very sensitive and very intense…This council is not prepared to discuss religious matters in depth, consequently we should not do it.” Henceforth only religious scholars would be permitted to broach them.

The UN's tentacles are everywhere present in this era; we've been warned for decades about the danger.

Presently, radical Islam (phooey - Islam herself) is being everywhere capitulated to; and, what with EU (see Sarkozy's divided Israel) & UN lackeys fawning all over each other, she stands in a unique position to thwart the cause of Christ and the Jews in the West like never before.

Because the War on Terror is being managed (sic) by women and sissies, Western Civilization has inadvertently given Islam an international soapbox of which Hussein, Qaddafi, the Ayatollahs, and the Taliban only dreamed.

Who would have thought a few decades ago Islam and the international community would have the leverage to bring back the Roman Church's doctrine of "only religious scholars would be permitted to [discuss religious issues]"? This is the Dark Ages again.

this month, [Washington Time]'s Bill Gertz reported on ... the termination of Maj. Stephen Coughlin (USAR). Mr. Coughlin, a lawyer and reserve military intelligence officer, has been the Pentagon's sole specialist on Islamic law charged with lecturing senior officers on jihad doctrine — military leaders who have been fighting the so-called war on terror for years without an inkling of Islamic ideology. His contract with the Joint Staff will end in March, Mr. Gertz wrote, because Mr. Coughlin "had run afoul of a key aide" to the Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England.

I know mushrooms grow in moist, hot, smelly, dark places but where do this idiots come from???

It's amazing to see our own leaders betraying us to a bunch of backward fanatics ... greatest country in the history of mankind falling to a people without a nation to call their own, and who have not contributed anything to the betterment of man for centuries.

TALIBAN: Answering the unanswerable!

Today's article suggests the Taliban may be ready to release their Korean hostages (mostly women).

I've been personally frustrated by various complaints from Christians and Christian organizations about the silence from the Christian community and the Godblogosphere concerning these "Christian" aid workers. The complaints are warranted to a certain extent but let's face reality.

At this juncture, two male members of the Korean group have been murdered; there is no guarantee more won't suffer the same fate.

Most Western Christians are news savvy and know when they are dealing with ignorant unprincipled people; leaders who have no moral compunctions other than their wild allegiance to an aberrant idea.

This does have a tendency to dampen involvement.

And speaking for myself - I have 24 hours each day to minister for the Lord; I'm obligated to use those hours as a gift (no, I'm not always perfect in their use) and to prioritize my labors. Like Satan, I cannot be everywhere at once, all-knowing, and all-mighty. Most of us are doing the best we can.

And I would suggest that Darfur, the Iraqi Christian exodus, and Arab persecution of Christians in general trump the hostages ... and where pray tell is the UN, man's answer to all of this? What a waste!

In other words, where can my noise, my sweat, and my heart do the most good? And since when is this a problem of the American church only? And is the noise I hear from the Church in the North, South, and East not still "from the Church"? Why is so much guilt placed on the shoulders of the Church in the West? We are one body!

Bottom-line, Paul knew before going "to Caesar" that he might not come out alive; the same was said by Jesus on His entry into Jerusalem.

When we opt to go on mission for God, and opt for a dangerous mission field (the field of another), there is a certain awareness of the dangers involved. In some fields (like Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Afghanistan) there is a tacit understanding that there are no clandestine black berets lurking in the shadows to extricate us if we get in trouble.

My feeling is the criticism is both warranted (in a qualified sense) and unwarranted (in an unqualified sense). Perhaps the critics should reexamine their criticism.

MUHAMMADANS: You'll not know them by their words!

It appears Muslims are all liars, every one; just as I said!

Based on the linked report in The Christian Post my words here were prophetic.

Egypt’s top religious advisor attempted Thursday to clear up controversy that had been building up this past week over his reported statement that Muslims are free to convert to other faiths.

Grand Mufti Ali Gomaa, one of the most respected Islamic scholars in the world today, re-affirmed that Muslims have the freedom to convert to another religion, but that it would be a “grave sin.”

“Choice means freedom, and freedom includes the freedom to commit grave sins as long as their harm does not extend to others,” said Gomaa, according to Agence France-Presse.

The controversy began Tuesday when local media picked up a statement Gomaa had made earlier in a Washington Post-Newsweek forum on Islam.

A "grave" sin is one where you end up in one, if you convert! Sort of like the warning about falls; it's not the fall that kills, it's the sudden stop!

What's that old saw? "Oh what webs we weave, when we first deceive!" Un-huh????

Following the frenzy over his statement, different media outlets had given conflicting stories on the grand mufti’s opinion on conversions by Muslims.

Some local press interpreted his remark to mean he did not mind if Muslims converted to another faith, which led Gomaa to make another statement Tuesday that condemned apostasy and appeared to contradict his Washington Post statement.

Gomaa is spinning out of control from here on in; read it for yourself. Bottom-line: you convert and you're dead meat! But then that's Islamic freedom Gomaa goes on to say.

MUSLIMS SPEAK OUT: The Islamic Shell Game!

Well we've been crying for the moderate Muslims of the world to speak out and evidently some of them have chosen to do just that in the joint WaPo & Newsweek effort - "Muslims Speak Out: What Islam Really Says About Violence, Human Rights, and Other Religions!"

The index to the articles is somewhat confusing ... at least to me! It appears to be a week's worth of daily offerings; so you'll have to be committed to following up to get it all!

Another immediate problem with the index is that in the list of writers, there are a lot on non-Muslims speaking out! Not a good sign for a piece titled - "Muslims Speak Out!"

The first offering is from Ali Gomaa, Grand Mufti of Egypt; and though he espouses a peaceful understanding of the Koran, Jihad, Islam, and militancy, I must ask how this could be?

Either a "Grand Mufti" is an insignificant office in Egypt or this man is lying in the tradition of many of Muhammad's followers. The press for years has been filled with reports of barbarous acts by Egypt's Muhammadans against non-Muslims or anyone who would dare stand up to Islam's "my way, or your dead" political doctrine. In Gomaa's own words ...

When jihad actually does take the form of armed struggle, Muslims are aware that it can only be done for the sake of a just cause.

The operative phrase is the latter: "for the sake of a just cause." A "just cause" to a Muslim is anything that fits the Muslim worldview holding that non-Muslims are garbage and must be disposed of ... a free pass to any action you feel is pertinent at the time: for example "honor killings," "Christian conversion," or "blasphemy of the prophet."

He does make the following statement which is a beginning perhaps ...

No excuse can be made for the crimes committed in New York, Spain, and London, and anyone who tries to make excuses for these acts is ignorant of Islamic law (shari’ah), and their excuses are a result of extremism and ignorance.

Apparently, not all Muslims are fond of Ali Gomaa's moderate views; see the comments to this point here ...

The idea that we are witnessing some kind of “clash of civilizations” is a grave misunderstanding. True, there are increasing levels of tension and conflict opposing different societies and cultures in many parts of the world. But one only needs to look beyond the headlines to realize that the roots of this antagonism are primarily political, not religious. Faiths, in themselves, do not generate hatred or violence. It is the exploitation of faith for political ends that has created hostility among the faithful.
