PROPHETIC VOICE: The American Angle of Repose!
I've no idea why I'm writing this post; perhaps it's my "I told you so" ego; I no longer have any confidence that anyone is listening ... regardless, America is in danger of leaning so far left it will be unable to move back to the right.
There is a principle of physics (engineering mainly) called the "the angle of repose" and is related to "the angle of recline" ... its political application might be described like this:The "angle of repose" in political philosophy is the maximum angle to which a political party/group may be tilted before its underlying principles give way (e.g., snowflakes prior to an avalanche).
Or "the angle of recline" in political philosophy is the maximum angle which a political party/group at rest may be tilted before it irrecoverably breaks the restraining friction upon which it rests, commencing to slide until forcibly stopped by an external force.Another way to describe this danger is by way of illustration: in the state of Georgia there is a Civil War memorial called Stone Mountain, on the top of which is a warning sign and (I am told) a line painted beyond which the sight seer may not pass. This point is the point beyond which the visitor will be unable to return to a fixed position.
In the case of political philosophies, proceeding experimentally or vicariously beyond a particular point will always result in an irreversible forward motion and the inability to recover one's footing.
The linked post (and hundreds of others) at The Brussels Journal simple points out that Europe, in real time, has passed that point. It will, short of a continental civil war, never recover its once glorious footing. The inattentive citizens of Europe have had their freedom and liberty stolen in broad daylight by godless, leftist, self-absorbed bureaucrats.
The people of the United States of America are being manipulated by the same deranged leftist/liberal political philosophy ... I fear they've collectively passed or are in the process of passing America's unseen angle of repose or angle of recline.

WEALTH: America! Get used to your money no longer being "your" money!

Then, to augment this topic, in my Inbox was an Evan Coyne Maloney (producer/director of Indoctrinate U, the wildly popular expose of American academia) post which linked to a post by Robert Bluey (see second quote below), which had the following comment from "daveg" of Papa Golf Chronicles regarding an anecdotal method of explaining Barack Obama's Marxist approach to America's "wealth" (I love it) ...Play Monopoly. Wait until some of the kids start to amass a nice pile of money. As they collect rent, take 36% and distribute it to the kids that aren’t doing as well.
If you’re a parent, you know that screams of “That’s not fair!!” are guaranteed.
Use this opportunity to explain the Democratic (mis)definition of the word “fair.”Now for the email making the rounds (source unknown) which Dave G. commented on ...In a local restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08″ tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference–just imagine the coincidence.Here is the audio/video ... prepare to be left speechless ...
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I’ve decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

Listen again to Karen (I believe she's a plant, probably one of Obama's law students), who mentions something called "reparative economic work." This is textbook Marxism. Have you ever heard the word "reparations" ("the making of amends for wrong or injury done: reparation for an injustice")?
If I hear between the lines, and I think I do, Obama is not interested in general redistribution of wealth, he is focused on specific and targeted redistribution ... namely to the black community, which, as Limbaugh has mentioned time and time again, has failed to rise up from the bottom like other minorities even though train loads of money have been given to them since the Democrats' "war on poverty." Money just does not work for some reason.
If you want to live in an America that mirrors the nations of the world who practice this kind of stuff (Cuba, Venezuela, China, Viet Nam, North Korea, etc.) vote for Obama; if you don't, then don't vote for Obama.
Mark my words (ala Joe the Dissembler), if Obama is elected he will try to make this generation pay for the sins of our fathers through reparations, but it will not work. The disease that afflicts this segment of our society is self-inflicted and will continue unabated. Perhaps it's time to see the victimization of blacks for what it really is!

You've got it!Watch the video; the answer is “yes” — thereby ensuring that the government has a stake in all the major banks. [...]
So what did Paulson threaten to do if they said “no”? (Yes I know he wasn’t holding real guns. Come on now.) We don’t know, but whatever it is, the opening sections of the pork-loaded “bailout” bill with the made-up $850 billion price tag probably gave him the power to make the threats credible.This “bailout” was originally advertised as being targeted towards troubled loan situations, principally mortgages. Their irrational portrayals, stereotypical characterizations (or rather mischaracterizations), duplicitous fabrications, immoral labeling, insensitive slurs, and carnal propaganda must hurt you all during your precious family times.
For all of this, to the limits of my freedom to do so, I apologize. Shame on us all.

Why McCain waited for a hail-Mary moment is a mystery to all.

Did anyone know that this socialist, anti-capitalism program, called a "bailout, (which is really a buyout, which is really a screw up) was to be used to bolster Democratic states in the midst of an election cycle?
Neither did I! Welcome to Paulson's bridge to nowhere!
I was told it was for the credit market! I was told it was for Main Street! Now it's to be used to pay for entitlement programs in "blue" states with socialist legislatures, who redistribute wealth through government largess!
Oh the milking of the public cow ... it feels soooooooooooooooooooooooo good!
Who will be next! Pick the bluest states with the biggest and most liberal socialist programs and there you will find the federal spicket and your hard earned dollars flowing to their empty coffers!Why? Because the system wants to forcibly violate you; this system run by the very liberals who got us into this mess in the first place.
Why? Because they can't violate their own citizens any more, so they've come for you!
