Supreme Court Uses International Law

Three of our Supremes (O'Connor, Kennedy, & Ginsberg) are reported to have used laws of other nations in their opinions.

As I understand it, this is a violation of the Constitution's Supremacy Clause, the very source of their own authority.

It's been reported that legal precedents in Zimbabwe and France (two remarkably bright legal realms) were used to reach their published decisions.

Who are these people and what have they done with common sense?
