WAR ON TERROR - Morality in it?

Nations fighting nations over international geo-political issues or citizens fighting citizens over national political issues is one thing. But idealists fighting idealists over idealogical issues across all boundaries, where one has something of a moral foundation and the other does not, is a new creature and requires novel and couragous thinking and action.

A soldier, whether in uniform or not, who has no morality cannot be expected to act morally or civily. Thus, to do battle with such a soldier requires unique philosophies of warfare.

Those who suffered the Battan death march in the Philipines can tell you what it is like to do battle with an immoral enemy, as can the Germans who were captured by the Russians at the end of WWII.
