The pastor of the little Florida girl murdered a week ago is going on the record seeking forgiveness for her killer ... but no mercy!
In a rightly framed argument at First Baptist Church, Jessica's church, pastor Bill Coats asked his congregation to do what is almost impossible: forgive the convicted sex offender accused of sexually assaulting and then killing the 9-year-old.
"Lord, we don't always understand your ways," Coats told 175 mourners during services at Faith Baptist Church, where many people saw the girl for the last time on the night she disappeared. "We accept what has taken place here, and ask that you would give us some peace."
Jessica, a third grader, was last seen at church the night of Feb. 23, before she went missing after being put to bed.
