We need to consider a way to deal with this problem as well ... if we truly want religious freedom in the United States.
The Las Vegas Sun reports on a British court's decision to side with a muslim school girl and her desire to wear traditional Muslim dress to school.
There are however, two things that trouble me in this decision:
- The court's use of a treaty with the EU to decide the case, bypassing British sovereignty and people
- Our Supreme Court's recent propencity to use international law to decide their cases (even though we've signed no treaties which bind us)
I feel like I'm just blowing in the wind with this but I am deeply concerned about the Supreme Court's willingness to disenfranchise its people on this.
