PART THREE - THE OTHER SIDE ...

... of the pond.

Pupils should be allowed to swear in the classroom rather than be punished for their four-letter-word outbursts, Scottish parents' representatives said yesterday.
This is not a good idea in a country struggling with their spiritual roots; it is also an indication of the language the parents find acceptable in their own lives.

Swearing is just lazy language (third item down). And the associative elements of cussing in pre-teens and teenagers is developmentally negative at best.
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Eph 4:29, 30
UPDATE: Just got back from running an errand; tuned into Dennis Prager while driving, Prager was commenting on this (from the Guardian) ... somewhat in shock.

Prager made an excellent point with regard to culture and education; we have two choices - one, to bring the culture down to its lowest common denominator or, two, to elevate the least to higher levels within the culture.
