THE CROSS AT GROUND ZERO ...

... and how it came to have a Star of David scratched in it.

Dawn Eden at The Dawn Patrol had a pair of posts over the weekend which point to Robert Going's Ground Zero Diary, a journal of a ground zero recovery volunteer.

Going recalls a series of events which led to the elevation of the Cross to a NYC icon and memorial, as well as how the area of its discovery became known as "God's House."
