BLUEGRASS: 81 YEAR-OLD EARL SCRUGGS ...

... was injured at the 36th annual S.C. State Bluegrass Festival, in Myrtle Beach.

Bluegrass banjo legend Earl Scruggs, 81, fell off the stage at the Myrtle Beach ... Festival. He was removed by the rescue squad with a neck brace on. Please pray for him. Apparently, at the end of Earl's perfomance, he turned and walked off the wrong end of the stage which has about a four foot drop. He was transported to Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach via ambulance.rtle Beach.

Grand Strand Regional Medical Center has Scruggs listed in good condition. Scruggs apparently didn't suffer any serious injury which, is surprising for someone his age after suffering a big fall.

Scruggs is best known as part of the Country Hall of Fame duo Flats & Scruggs.
