SIN: MANKIND'S ACHILLES' HEEL - ...

... and why it matters more than you might think.

God adds this small clause to the end of Romans 14:23 ...
whatever is not from faith is sin
Ron at Northern 'burbs Blog caught my attention this morning with this ...
Sin, in God's eyes, is also always evil, with one sin being equivalent to violation of all God's laws.
How true! It reminds me of a comment by one of our past great teachers (whom, I do not recall) ... believers must come to understand "the utter sinfulness of sin." Or, said another more contemporary way, the utter depravity of depravity.

Believers and non-believers alike would do well to understand that God is ABSOLUTE and INFINITE DIVINE PERFECTION ...
Absolute: perfect in quality or nature; complete; not mixed; pure; not limited by restrictions or exceptions; unconditional; unqualified in extent or degree; unconstrained by constitutional or other provisions; not to be doubted or questioned
Infinite: without boundaries or limits; immeasurably great or large; boundless
Divine: emanating from God; resulting from divine providence; being or having the nature of a god
Perfection: the state of being without a flaw or defect
God's love is nested in His nature, His nature is without imperfection; thus, it isn't that He does love some while not loving others, it's that He will not and cannot abide imperfection ... the power of His nature will consume all imperfection upon arrival.

That is why sinners need a sinless sacrificial substitute; our entire being is contaminated with imperfection (sin; both original and natural).
