CATHOLIC: To be or not to be, that is the rub!

It's a five-part series on the A&E channel; it's called "God or the Girl's." It reportedly studies the tensions of being a young Catholic man who finds himself pulled between priesthood and manhood.

I've no problem with Catholics having their day on A&E; they have as much right to present their story as anyone. In fact, from an informational standpoint I might recommend the series ... if it weren't for this ...
It's closer to the truth to say the woman holding the most sway over all these guys is the Virgin Mary.
And therein lies the problem with much of contemporary Catholicism ... Mariolatry! How is this a problem?
But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
Revelation 2:4
And of course there is this ...
And He said to him, "'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'"
Matthew 22:37
The simple question is this: how can you venerate one entity "with all your soul, and with all your mind" when you venerate another to the same degree? Jesus reminded his disciples of this eternal truth ...
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other."
Matthew 6:24
Chose this day whom you will serve: Jesus, very God Himself, or Mary, Jesus mother in the flesh. Our God, dear friends, is not of this world.
