EVOLUTION: A house divided against itself cannot stand!

In my absence, there's been a plethora of stuff come across my screen which I've wanted to blog but didn't have opportunity. Here is a sampling of that "stuff" ...

RANDALL TERRY

Randall Terry has become Catholic - NCR
Between 1987 and 1994, Randall Terry led Operation Rescue, the country’s largest peaceful civil disobedience movement. He now serves as president of the Society for Truth and Justice, and is running for a Florida Senate seat.

One of the leading evangelical pro-life leaders in the country, Terry quietly entered the Catholic Church on Holy Thursday with his wife Andrea and three sons.

Randall Terry is not one of my favorite activists but I wish him well; it just boggles my mind how these reverse reformations can happen.

PATRICK HENRY COLLEGE

Five Professors Quit Religious School - WaPo
Nearly a third of the faculty members at Patrick Henry College in Loudoun County are leaving the school because of what they described as limitations on their academic freedom, causing unusual introspection at the politically connected Christian liberal arts college.
This is not good news. We cannot enter into contracts with the world and hope to succeed.
Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
2 Corinthians 6:14
The college has ambitions to place conservative Christian graduates in positions of influence, where they will help reshape American culture. Since the school opened six years ago, its student body has grown from 88 students to 300, and it has sent students to prized internships at the White House and on Capitol Hill.

EVOLUTION (Fossil record)

Debate on Little Human Fossil Enters Major Scientific Forum - NYT
Not all scientists agree that the 18,000-year-old "little people" fossils found on the Indonesian island of Flores should be designated an extinct human-related species. Some expressed their opposition in news interviews and informal symposiums, but papers arguing their case were rejected by major journals.

Now the critics are getting their day in the court of scientific discourse.

In today's issue of the journal Science, researchers led by Robert D. Martin of the Field Museum in Chicago present evidence they say supports their main argument, that the skull in question is not that of a newfound extinct species, but of a modern Homo sapiens afflicted with microcephaly, a genetic disorder characterized by a smaller than normal brain and head size.
I predicted privately to friends this would end up being another false signal for the Darwinists ... how many more false signals can they stand?

The fossils, from a specimen known as LB1 after the Liang Bua cave where it was found, have become the subject of fierce controversy, a minority of scientists arguing that it was a modern human who had microcephaly, a congenital disorder that stunts brain growth.

HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA

'Ex-Gays' Seek a Say in Schools - LAT
Over the last decade, gay-rights activists have pushed programs to support gay and lesbian students in public schools. Their success is striking:

More than 3,000 Gay-Straight Alliance clubs meet across the country. Nearly half a million students take a vow of silence one day each spring in an annual event to support gay rights. California may soon require textbooks to feature the contributions of gays and lesbians throughout history.

Critics, mostly on the religious right, view all this as promoting the "homosexual lifestyle." Unable to stop it, they have turned to a new strategy: demanding equal time for their view in public schools and on college campuses.
That sounds fair to me, but who am I? I'm a Christian and I need to mind my own business and quit "shoving my beliefs down other peoples' throats. I have no right to express my views; after all, my worldview includes the idea there is a God. OMG, barf!
