UNSUNG STAR: Kasey Rogers (15 Dec '26 - 6 Jul '06)

One of old Hollywood's true natural beauties has passed away ... an unsung star, very underappreciated ... not Bewitched but always bewitching.

More importantly she never became a Hollywood slut; leaving acting to attend her family and children.
Kasey Rogers (December 15, 1926 - July 6, 2006) was an American actress.

Rogers was born in Morehouse, Missouri but moved with her family to California at the age of two.

Rogers birthname was Imogene Rogers. As a child, she was so good at baseball the other kids decided to nickname her Casey (after the famous poem "Casey at the Bat"). Later, Rogers changed the C to a K.

In the 1970s, she became involved with motorcycles. After her son decided to buy one, she decided to buy one herself. This led to Rogers becoming involved in the world of motocross racing.

She helped established PURR ("PowderPuffs Unlimited Riders and Racers"), an association that brought women into the male-dominated sport, in 1974. PURR would later evolve into what is now the Women's Pro class division. [Wikipedia]
But Kasey wasn't best known for her Motocross contributions; rather she is best known as Louise Tate on the '60s TV program "Bewitched".
In the mid-1950s, Rogers began working in television. She guest starred on various series such as Stage 7, The Lone Ranger, Panic, Maverick, Perry Mason and many others.

In 1964, she landed a starring spot on Peyton Place as "Julie Anderson". She left the role in 1966, just in time to replace Irene Vernon in the role of "Louise Tate" on Bewitched, in a same character, different actor situation.

In 1972, she made her final appearance in the role. Aside from a few guest spots here and there, and appearances on the Bewitched edition of E! True Hollywood Story, Rogers retired from acting. [Ibid.]
