Crippling the Military 102

Let me understand this, the critics of Don Rumsfeld want him to visit the injured in the hospital, take State Department-like trips to Kuwait, meet with the President and his cabinet, hold press conferences, play with his grandkids, love his wife and be a supportive husband, answer to the CIA, meet with the Joint-Chiefs, respond immediately when the House or the Senate calls, write op ed pieces ... AND sign every letter of condolence personally?

Absolutely! He should after all! Didn't Seward and Jefferson? Didn't the Secretaries of State under Roosevelt, Wilson, Truman, Cleveland, and Johnson? I'm certain Bush 41 made sure what's his name did ... didn't he?

Right!
