BUSH'S BUDGET - Liberal clergy choked on it!

Liberal denominational leaders on the left criticized the President's budget proposals as not being in line with their values. I have a few things to say about that ...
  1. Oh, poor baby!
  2. Does momma need to kiss it, make it feel better?
  3. Now you know how Conservative denominational leaders felt over the past 40 - 50 years while your sycophants in Congress milked the public coffers!
  4. Knowing how gutless republicans have been lately, you'll probably get a thousand times more cooperation out of them than they ever got out of their liberal counterparts.
But Family News in Focus reports ...

Dr. Janice Crouse of the Beverly LaHaye Institute at Concerned Women for America took issue with such criticism of the White House. She said the Bush budget is moral because it focuses on defense of the nation, clearing away the deficit and—most importantly—strengthening families.

"This is the secret for building a strong society," Crouse said. "You've got to have strong families, you've got to have communities that are concerned about the kind of opportunities that people have for getting out of poverty—and that means strengthening families."

"We have to look at what's best for the nation, what strengthens the nation internally and externally," she said. "And this is a budget that does that."

I have been watching politics seriously for about 45 years and this is the first president in my memory who delivered a budget that reasonably represented my views.
