HARVEST SEASON - Eating your very young!

Thanks to Blogotional for pointing me to Evangelical Outpost regarding a tongue-in-cheek, but deadly serious, proposal by Joe Carter, the Outpost's head blogger. His proposal in condensed form, according to John at Blogotional, is as follows ...
If eating first trimester human embryoes, (sic) harvested either from unused in-vitro fertilizations or abortions, was shown to be a boon to human health, how would you advise the president?
In order to protect himself Joe preambles his post with this ...

The following thought experiment is used to explore some basic assumptions currenly (sic) held in the field of bioethics. As with any such hypothetical scenario, a certain degree of liberty is taken with what is considered within the realm of possibility. Some people may complain that I have stretched outside the normal parameters in order to make a point.
The timing of his post, as far as The CRIB is concerned, could not be better considering my post on designer babies a few minutes ago.

The gist of the Outpost's "thought experiment" reminds me of an early 18th Century blogger named Jonathon Swift, he also had a thought experiment, he called his "A Modest Proposal." His proposal generated a lot of thought (and criticism) ... but it is modest and brief; for those who've never read it, it is a must ... seeing it is a classic.
