if A (Schiavo) wishes to avoid artificial means of continuing her life, then the state must protect A's right-to-die, ergo A dies sans artificial life support; so, if B (Burke) wishes to use artificial means to continue his life, then the state must protect B's right-to-live, ergo B lives with artificial life support.Evidently, those who have decided they have the right to decide who lives or dies, have decided everybody dies!
John offers sage insight on the issue; while Laer echoes my sentiments concerning the trustworthiness of contemporary healthcare professionals ... there is none!
