KINGDOM BLOGS - Around the Sphere Today! (7/18)

A periodic post of things I've read and like in the Kingdom part of the blogosphere ... the caption link will get you back to the most recent previous post on Kingdom Blogs ...

  • Brad at 21st Century Reformation has some great words for those of us who like to talk. Care and wisdom in the use of words and phrases is what Jesus teaches and what Brad would like to pass on. This is good teaching.

  • The Face, that's right, not "The Mask" but The Face at The A-Team Blog has an excellent confession on compassion which he ties into the economic woes of most of Africa. Great blogging discernment here. Well done and right on!

  • It's so good to know there are like-minded people in Canada (Tim at Black Kettle), fighting the good fight against powers and forces in dark corners; it's reassuring to know someone else's political "movers-and-shakers" are just as corrupt and immoral as ours; but it is not so good to see how the enemy just keeps coming back, again and again, with the same evil legislation, over and over, until the good guys are worn out and give up!

  • Then there's Blogotional, whose blogger-in-chief John Schroeder publishes a daily plethoa of pertinent and pity posts ... no exception today. John points to: (a) something I wasn't aware of - bible fragments found in Israel; also (b) a CRIB-like post at Pyromaniac, on the health of the church today - and it ain't good; and then (3) a heart-breaker post on Holland's continued waltz with the cultue of death. All good posts worthy of a visit.

  • UK Evangelical Blog has an important endorsement of a favorite apologist/theologian of mine - R. C. Sproul. Haven't yet read Sproul's What is Reformed Theology?, but I plan to now. (I don't always agree with Sproul's eschatology though!) An increase in discussions of things reformed and things Calvinist should make all of us earnestly seek answers to questions raised conderning both.
