A periodic post of things I've read and like in the Kingdom part of the blogosphere ... the caption link will get you back to the most recent previous post on Kingdom Blogs ...
- Friend and fellow Alliance blogger John Schroeder at Blogotional links to a new blog for me ... Howdy; John points to a prayer that has passed through a few hands, a "Fireside" prayer by FDR on the eve of the D-Day invasion ... it's appropriate for out time as well ... John concludes with a few appropriate comments of his own ...
- Another Alliance blogger and good friend, Randy Kirk, has a great blog Christian Book Classics which promotes itself as ...
Listing and Reviews of Classic Christian works on Theology, Christian Living, Science, Philosophy, The Bible and Culture. Also Classic Fiction and Biographies.
Not enough room to explain his vision here ... so go check it out, it's fascinating and unique. Worth the trip if you are a bibliophile.
- In a brace of posts on The Two Great Commandments [Mark 12:28-30] Doug at Coffee Swirls takes a look at the love of God and the lack of man. This is for deeper thinkers who would be interested in the impact on the church if seeker sensitive theology had inadvertently switches The Second Great Commandment (the horizontal one) with The First (the vertical one) by doing what I suggested in my Pseudo-Gospel post yesterday morning. I have to tell you I was fed by these posts; part one is here and part two is here.
- Bowden at Christian Counseling has some sage advice for those considering Christian Counseling as a ministry field. His advice is in response to a very serious request from someone with 30 hours to go for his MA in Christian Counseling. (Media Soul linked to Bowden's post as well.)
- And Scot at Jesus Creed has an excellent word of caution for those who insensitively bandy about the descriptive term "Pharisee." This post is tied in with a series of posts on the use of the Pharisee label ... you can get to them through this link.
