HONOR IS DUE ...

... Marine Kevin G. Waruinge for his service to our nation.
Waruinge, a former Pensacola Christian College student, was among 14 Marines killed Wednesday by a single roadside bomb near the city of Haditha in western Iraq.

Waruinge, 22, worked as a mechanic on amphibious assault vehicles. He was attached to the Marine Corps Reserve’s 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, 4th Marine Division, in Gulfport, Miss. He had transferred from Tampa to the Gulfport unit after enrolling in school at PCC, (a friend) said.

Paul Ohman, dean of student life at PCC, said Waruinge attended the college as a criminal justice major from September 2003 until last December. Because his unit was activated, Waruinge could not enroll for the spring semester, Ohman said. [PNJ]
Our sympathies to Kevin's family and friends; and Lord, You bless him for us for giving the greatest gift he could give to his nation ... his life.
