TALKING ABOUT PRIESTS ...

... evidently the Lord's admonition to show patience hasn't missed the Vatican's notice.
The Vatican has defrocked the priest who was the first in Massachusetts convicted of sexual abuse more than two decades ago, the Boston Archdiocese said Friday.
Eugene O'Sullivan, it turns out, was a repeat offender ... and his higher-ups knew it. But just so Father Sulley doesn't feel alone ...
A second priest, Paul E. McDonald, also was defrocked. According to McDonald's personnel file, he was accused of sexually abusing several boys in the 1960s, when he was a priest at St. Joseph Church in Boston.
Is he still alive? Can you defrock a dead man? What is it the wise man said, "Better 40 years late, than not at all!" Who wants to bet it has taken longer to punish these two than it will to canonize JPII?
