IT'S REALLY SAD TO LEARN ...

... that a prior generation of adults, in positions of authority, covered up the crimes of child sexual predators because the perpetrators wore clerical garb.
Police helped the Catholic Diocese of Toledo cover up sex abuse allegations for several decades, refusing to investigate or arrest priests suspected of molesting children, [The Toledo Blade] reported Sunday.
It's bad enough we have paedo-perverts, but to have them hide behind "the Name above all names." Talk about breaking the 3rd Commandment ... if this isn't taking the name of God in vain I don't know what is.

But now accusations are flying in the diocese; accusations of perversion, secret rituals, and a priest accused of a 24 year-old murder of an elderly nun.
The investigation started with the details of the crime scene: an aging nun found strangled and repeatedly stabbed in the sacristy of the hospital chapel, her body posed to look like she was sexually assaulted.
But now, deeper issues have surfaced over accusations of sexual abuse of children in churches and schools by priests and lay members beginning in the late 1960s.
Oh what webs we weave ... . But, after the McMartin and Oregon fiascos, I really doubt the ritual accusations. O' LORD, forgive us for the reproach we bring upon Your name.
