ISLAM: 345 MUSLIM PILGRIMS TRAMPLED ...

... in annual hajj massacre!

At least 345 Muslim pilgrims were trampled to death as they tripped over luggage in a scramble to hurl pebbles at symbols of Satan during the annual pilgrimage, Saudi officials said.

It was the latest in a succession of stampede tragedies to hit the hajj pilgrimage despite efforts of the Saudi authorities to avoid a repeat of disasters like the one that killed 1,426 people in 1990.

I wonder when our dear friend Pat Robertson will announce the hajj massacres are God's wrath on Muslim men for leaving wives and children home alone? Or perhaps it will be because they wear dresses. Who knows how Pat will parse this one.

In all seriousness, when we speak as the instrument of God, we must be overly careful in our thinking, long before we dare open our mouth and wag our tongue.

So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!
