NAMES OF GOD - Twelve Jewels of honor!

Praise the LORD Jehovah it is done; may He be pleased with the effort and reveal any weaknesses or errors in it!

BACKGROUND ... (final name is up, see below)

On the High Priest's breastplate, a part of the his ephod, there are twelve jewels ... one for each of the sons of Jacob. The Twelve Tribes of Israel (Jacob) were named for these sons.

There are many references to the spiritual significance of jewels in Scripture; in the New Temple in the New Jerusalem there will be twelve foundation stones (one for each of the 12 apostles of the Lamb) and twelve gates (one for each of the 12 tribes of Israel) ... all of precious stones.

What this signifies is this: God shows special attention to those whom He wishes to honor, in human terms what better than a precious stone ... a jewel!

If we wish to honor God then we should show special attention to Him. One way to do this is to know His name.

Names of God ...

The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
The righteous runs into it and is safe.

Proverbs 18:10

There are twelve names of significance in Old Testament Scriptures, they are Twelve Jewels; these aren't the only names of God ... God is infinite; I assume He is known by an infinite number.
