ANGLICAN ANGST: Another congregation jumps from Virginia

... the ECUSA Virginia Diocesian ship. I find no comfort in the continuing demise of the Anglican denomination. You'd think after two thousand years we'd have learned what is acceptable doctrine and what is not.
The Church of the Holy Spirit in Ashburn, Va., has become the second congregation to leave the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia over disagreements on biblical authority, church discipline and homosexual clergy.
This trinity of deviations is not some minor list of minor disputes ... each of these carried weight with the historic and orthodox church, ought to carry great weight with the contemporary and invisible church, and our handling of each of them most certainly will carry grave significance for the future church and her people.
