Come on folks lets get real. No movie deserves this much free publicity, especially a loser like Da Vinci Code. Consider ...

Christians back boycott of "Da Vinci" - DenverPost (in last Friday's edition)
Local Christian groups are joining a planned national boycott of the movie "The Da Vinci Code," which opens Friday.
Wonder how it went?

Okay! So let's carry that kind of absurd logic to its ultimate end. Who's going to Mecca and Damascus to tell the Muslims they have to add a similar disclaimer to the Quran?

Come to think of it, shouldn't McKellen seek a similar disclaimer for the Da Vinci Code, which he obviously considers absolute truth. Duh!

Note: Actually, Gandalf was countering cries for a fiction disclaimer on the movie.

Christian ad about Code gets pulled - Natl-Post (Canada)
A movie house commercial that encourages churchgoers to see and discuss Hollywood thriller The Da Vinci Code has been dropped by Canada's largest cinema chain, which said the ad was part of a religious campaign to "stalk" unsuspecting film patrons.

India puts The Da Vinci Code on hold - Canada.Com
The [Canadian] government ... [last week] temporarily held up the release of the movie The Da Vinci Code in India after receiving complaints from Catholic groups, even though the national censor had cleared the film.
The permafrost must have been really deep this past spring.
