RULE OF LAW: No longer a government of the people ...

... by the people, and for the people.

We the people have been effectively frozen out of access to our own constitutions as a means to moderate or control our cultures. No longer are America and Canada constitutional forms of government; rather they are now judicial forms of government. Where the courts (i.e., read judges), under the threat of ridicule by the MSM and activist minorities, capitulate to polls and their own feelings rather than the rule of law (for a view of how feelings adversely affect organizations see here re the church).
Rule of Law, Supreme CourtThe rule of law is the principle that governmental authority is legitimately exercised only in accordance with written, publicly disclosed laws adopted and enforced in accordance with established procedure. The principle is intended to be a safeguard against arbitrary governance. Samuel Rutherford was one of the first modern authors to give the principle theoretical foundations in Lex, Rex (1644), and later Montesquieu in The Spirit of the Laws (1748). [Wikipedia]
Now we see the people removed by fiat and edict through the intellectual whims of individuals whose "job" requires they wear a black robe. Unfortunately they can't wear those robes in public otherwise the people would know who they are and where they live and give them a piece of their mind.
A liberal activist judge has struck down a constitutional amendment in Georgia which made homosexual marriage illegal! She felt that she knew better than the voters how they should vote and threw out their ballots.

The constitutional amendment, passed overwhelmingly by 76% of the voters in Georgia, is now null and void. [AFA]
As it now stands, at least according to Michelle Malkin on the O'Reilly Factor last night (21 May 2006), it will be a cold day in "heck" before our reps inside the beltway pass a federal gay-marriage amendment bill to protect us from the onslaught of queer activists and their supporters.

House dividedMy heart breaks for America and Canada, and their people. We were warned about oppression from within long ago; I never thought I'd see the day when it happened to me and my generation. People on the left still believe they are on the right side of history in their opposition to us but they have only to look at the recent events in the Episcopal Church USA (ECUSA) and the American Baptist Church (ABC) to see why houses divided against themselves will not stand.
