Marriage should be abolished and replaced by a variety of civil partnerships, a progressive religious think-tank has suggested. [Telegraph - UK]I said last year we should do an end run around the problem. Forcing marriages held in our churches to be reserved for true Christians alone, under extreme guidelines (as best we can determine that condition). That is, stop conducting meaningless services for every pair of warm bodies who enter the church office.
