This is a followup piece by WorldNetDaily on another article in WorldView Weekend and previously posted on by The Crib ...

A few new tid-bits and photos, but mostly more of the same.

Homosexuality Set to Take Another Denomination for a swim the Sybarite Cesspool of Self-indulgence
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship will gather for its 2007 annual General Assembly in Washington, D.C., and for the first time will hold a joint meeting with the American Baptist Churches (USA), a denomination deflated by the recent departure of hundreds of churches over the issue of homosexuality.
Methodists, Congregationalists, Episcopalians (here, here, and here), Presbyterians, Disciples, ELCA, the UCC, American Baptists, and soon the CBF ... who's next for a dip in the drainpipe of depravity?
While the ABC (USA) adopted statements on the incompatibility of Christianity and the homosexual lifestyle in 1984 and 1992, the General Board of the denomination in 1993 adopted a resolution calling for "continuing dialogue on human sexuality," an action which, according to conservative American Baptists, opened the door to churches that condone the homosexual lifestyle.

Thomas Road Baptist Church to Mark 50 Years - Christianpost.com
The Rev. Jerry Falwell's conservative politics have earned him both friends and enemies in a long, public career - but there's no denying he's been a successful pastor.

Joined by thousands of supporters, Falwell will mark the half-century anniversary of Thomas Road Baptist Church on Sunday with a daylong celebration that begins with a service in a new, 6,000-seat sanctuary.
Like the author said, you either love him or hate him, but you can't deny he has been one of the most influential pastors of the past 50 years!

Confusion at the Times Higher Education Supplement (THES): Intelligent Design Theory is NOT Creationism
As we reported earlier this week, there were a number of articles equating intelligent design with creationism in the THES recently. Bruce Gordon, research director for Discovery's Center for Science & Culture, has written [a] response to the THES, correcting their mistakes and outlining some of the key points of intelligent design theory.
Well written and worth the time to read it closely.

Canada's conservative government has introduced a bill to raise the age of sexual consent by two years to 16 - The Washington Times
Justice Minister Vic Toews said there was "widespread public support" for the proposal and he expects it to pass when it comes up for a final House of Commons vote.

Toews said the reforms are directed at adults who sexually prey on young people, not at consulting teenagers, the Canadian Broadcasting Corps. reported.
One would initially like to think maybe the Cannuks had returned to their senses until you see why they've increased the age of consent.

So, tell me Toews, does that mean your 16-year-old son and daughter are legal for the sexual predators lurking in the shadows of your home?

After waiting for almost two years ...
Israel will begin removing the Mugrabi ramp in a few days, despite the fear of Muslim riots.

The ramp, which leads from the Western Wall plaza to one of the Temple Mount Gates, is located in one of the most sensitive places in the world, and plans to carry out excavations under it have therefore been held up by the Shin Bet security service and the prime minister's military secretary for the past two years, for fear of Muslim riots. [...]

However, a reliable source told Haaretz that "now that the Palestinian Authority is paralyzed and incapable of resisting, it's an excellent opportunity to carry out the plan." [Haaretz.com]

Operation Rescue buys, then closes clinic - Wichita Eagle
An anti-abortion group has bought and closed a Wichita clinic that provided abortions and was a focal point of the massive 1991 demonstrations known as the "Summer of Mercy."

Operation Rescue announced Thursday that it has purchased the building at 3013 E. Central, which since 1983 had been leased by Central Women's Services.
WorldNetDaily: Operation Rescue buys abortion clinic
The move began when Operation Rescue learned in late April that Central Women's Services was months behind on its rental payments and that the property was for sale.

The pro-life group quickly made an offer on the building through a third party, stipulating in the contract that the current tenant not be retained.

If anyone has ever had doubts about the malignant condition of the world today, all one has to do is look at the probability that the nations of the world will side with the Palestinians against Israel on this one ...

Palestinians Seek Thousand to One Trade Over Gaza Attack - FOXNews.com
Early Saturday, the militants holding the soldier issued a new set of demands, calling on Israel to halt its offensive in Gaza and ordering the release of 1,000 prisoners.
Let me see: I break into your house, kidnap and rape your daughter; you come over to my front yard and beat me up, and I tell you, you can have your daughter back for the release of 1,000 jailed rapists. Makes sense to me!
