"Don't sweat it," the court says, "we'll send out"! Yea, right! Like our courts did for Terri Schiavo.A man with an incurable brain condition has lost his final legal appeal to insist that doctors give him food and drink in the final stages of his life.
It would be impossible to list all of the great decisions the courts have made in defense of the defenseless ... take abortion for example.I love that name, doesn't it sound reassuring ... sort of like the sound of "Kool-Aid" and "Jonestown" or Auschwitz or Triblinca.The European Court of Human Rights said it did not believe there was a real threat that his food would be stopped.
The European judges refused to reverse a UK ruling that allows doctors to decide a patient's treatment.So, a man in his right mind, who wishes to be kept alive after he is incoherent, is denied a basic human right by the EU Court of Human Rights! Gawd, the irony is staggering!
