FILIBUSTER FILETS - The nine-cent solution!

Hugh Hewitt has a brief revisit of his frustration with the GOP buried in today's 1:00 AM post ... snipettes follow -
Radioblogger ... has the transcript of Wednesday's interview of Arizona Senator Jon Kyl. This interview is not encouraging, because Senator Kyl is as tough-minded as they come in the GOP Senate caucus, and his unwillingness or inability to commit to a vote on breaking the filibuster before the May recess signals to me that there is a great danger of retreat ... without a detailed timetable or an articulated plan to get past Democratic obstruction in the Judiciary Committee, the perception of leadership weakness grows.

The days are long since past when senators could dismiss the base or instruct it to remain silent while wiser heads gathered and debated. Jon Kyl knows that and thus is always available to talk. But he is very much in the minority. Scores of calls to key senators asking for on-the-record interviews have gone unreturned, suggesting fear more than anything else.

Political momentum is maintained by more information, not less, and the Senate GOP right now is not communicating on the issue of greatest importance to its party.
I vote for the "nine-cent" solution ... send the NRSC a check for nine-cents! I've been unrepresented by my party long enough.
