Kingdom news of particular interest from various sources ...
- Stacy at Media Soul has a link to a report that Jesus is a superhero to British youth. "Asked what makes a superhero, 92 per cent say he or she would "stop bad things happening", 91 per cent say a superhero "is generally a good guy", and 90 per cent say they would "tell the truth". Now that news surprises me. England is one of the most spiritually dead places on the planet.
- Benedict XVI pushes for reunification of "orthodox" church bodies; the new Pope appealed "to Orthodox Christians on Wednesday, saying a unified church could help a world 'full of skepticism and doubts' to believe." What do you think, if he pulls this one off, is there a chance the dozens of Baptist denominations could reunite? Naw! We're talking about Baptist not orthodox!
- They've gone and done it; having been polluted with the dreaded frog virus in the eastern provinces and with the liberal-leftist bacterium of the American anti-war expatriates of the 1960s, Canada has declared gay marriage legal nationwide. I hope they're prepared for in influx of American perverts.
- The Dallas Biblical Arts Center lost a priceless 124 x 20 painting called "Miracle at Pentecost" to a six alarm fire on Tuesday. Sad! Hope this is not arson.
- The United Church of Christ's top man opts for perversion and debauchery; the AP is reporting, "With a possible historic vote looming on a measure supporting same-sex marriage, the head of the UCC on Tuesday publicly endorsed the resolution for the first time." God help us!
- Respondents to a Kansas poll say they want schools to teach more than just theories on evolution. A majority say they want public schools to "either allow evolution to be criticized or teach other theories alongside it in science classes."
