The WaPo is reporting that Tom Delay, another elephant I've supported against charges by the Dems and the left, is indeed entwined in a serious if not illegal web of fund raising deceit and chicanery.
I'm still giving DeLay the benefit of the doubt. Seeing the MSM is anything but honest in its reporting, I'm withholding judgment until the facts are publicly known. But, if true, this is really discouraging and will seriously impact elections in '06 and '08.
What truly upsets me is that DeLay, like "Duke" Cunningham, has presented himself as a Christian. If true, this is not Christian behavior and brings reproach upon the name of the Lord Jesus.
The continuing litany of suspicious behavior by Republicans at the national level makes me sorry I ever registered with the party and makes me wonder prophetically about the character and integrity of those selected to follow in their footsteps from the local level.
With all the criticisms and accusations by the Dems and the left over the past six years, I don't see how the Bush Administration can keep from being tarnished by continuing party related accusations.
