CHUTZPAH: I'm having a hard time believing this

Walter Babst was known by my daughters as "Mr. Babst" when they attended Bonita High School. Now he's know just as pervert around our home.
Babst was booked Jan. 7, accused of attempted lascivious act with a child under 14, attempted oral copulation and attempt to send harmful matter with the intent to seduce a minor.
Babst mugshot, molester teacherMy daughters aren't really surprised things have turned out this way. The girls told me it was common for Babst to let the more outgoing girls to "wiggle their butts in [the direction of] his face ... and they made sure their thongs were showing to. It was sick, Dad!"

Talk about chutzpah (arrogance), the guy continued to show up in the classroom for a week after his arrest with someone else's daughters ...
[Bonita School District] officials say they are upset because they were not immediately informed that a Riverside County teacher was arrested this month in an Internet sex sting. [...]

Babst continued to teach after the arrest. School officials found out about the arrest from Babst's attorney when he informed them Babst would no longer be teaching in the district.
I'm really flummoxed by all of this, hits from the area of the school were hot and heavy for days and are still coming in. I can't believe no one at a high school that big and that good didn't read the papers or blogs. Oh well!

I'm worried about Babst's eternal destiny but I've very little sympathy anyone who can't control his carnal nature ... and even less for those who prey on kids for their gratification.

In fact self-control is the most serious of the Gifts of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. Civil societies couldn't exist if Christians failed to exercise self-control as a stabalizing influence in their communities. Babst gets an "F-" in self-control.
